- In one of our last videos, I asked if you wanted to see a comparison between all the cheap wagyu I could find and your answer was yes! So because of that today we will be comparing all the wagyu steaks I was able to afford near my place so we can see which is the good the bad and the ugly. Wagyu meat is becoming more and more popular and as the demand increase, we can see that some of the big supermarkets started to sell it and some of them at a very good price.

The local Costco down here in Southern California has started carrying "Imperial American wagyu beef" current selections include Chuck roast, Strip steaks, top sirloin cap off, rib eye cap, and rib eye eye 👁 😋
The strip and the ribeye are both 27.99$ and is worth every penny. The sirlion is 11.99$/lb and the chuck roast is 9.99$/lb they are usually way highly marbled and are very impressive. You can really taste the wagyu flavor and its raised in the USA 🇺🇸 👍

A friend of mine has been recently over the past year praising "Wild Fork" to me and with this video it helped further Incentivize me to pull the trigger on some Wild Fork goodness.

Just found your channel. I had Japanese Wagyu in Taiwan some years back and did not know it was Wagyu until the chef said; good choice . It was delicious, to say the least. I’ve since purchased an American Wagyu Picanaha and it was fantastic. My go to place now is Sam’s for their prime cuts, especially the ribeyes. Although not as tender or juicy as American Wagyu, it is an excellent cut of beef. Thank you Ninja, it is good to see you again. Deeeeeliciius!
There are over 200+ different kinds of wagyu in Japan and they all taste different. Also there is a grading system from A1-A5, A5 is the highest grade. If the American wagyu that you had taste better that means you didn't really had Real japanese wagyu or it was just a A1 or A2 wagyu.
I would like to see a comparison video with the big sellers. Grand Western, Snake River Farms, Meat The Butchers, Pursuit Farms, Debragga, etc.!

I've only had wagyu once, American wagyu from a local butcher. Was $45/lb. It was delicious but definitely checking out the Walmart wagyu. Great video. You and Mrs. Ninja know your steak.

@@SaltyTales I can get better looking prime for $10 a pound. I guess the different fat might be worth 5 dollars a pound but I doubt it. More marbling is usually better either way.

My local meet place has kobe wagyu beef zabuton steaks and they are absolutely amazing at $30/lbs. try a zabuton, they have a ton of delicious fat. Also happy belated birthday mrs ninja!

I've been ordering from Wild Fork for a couple months now. I'm a huuuge steak fan and have to say they deliver really good quality meats. One of my roommates is a chemist and loves the fact they deliver it with dry ice so he can play with it haha.

I mentioned once in an innocent comment on an old episode of Kitchen Nightmares that I really enjoy the Walmart wagyu. I had 4 different guys respond with very vicious attitudes. It was as if I was supposed to be insane for saying Walmart wagyu is good. People who have never tried it will become very triggered and hostile if you just simply say you happen to like wagyu steaks from Walmart.
