The Cat Walk is 140 miles from Las Cruces. You'll drive through my hometown of Silver City, where I recommend picking up coffee from Tranquil Buzz in downtown.
The drive to and from the Cat Walk is nothing short of spectacular. My wife and I lost track of how many times we said "whoa!" on the drive.
It's a hidden gem, and 100% worth it.
