Julian was paddling hard towards Mick .......AFTER seeing a massive shark going after his competitor but more importantly his friend ! Very definition of the word "Legend" !
Julian Wilson a true friend thru and thru, Surf on legend and thank you God for keeping Mick Fanning safe from 2 A pex predators, THANK YOU GOD AND HIS WORKERS THE “WATER PATROL”
When it comes to colours sharks are drawn to, isn’t the underside of Mick’s board known as “yum yum yellow?” Mick is so fortunate to escape injury or worse and so blessed to have a huge, caring, extended surf family, rushing to hep him. Julian Wilson didn’t hesitate, brave beyond the imagination and a heart of gold. COURAGE = MICK AND JULIAN!
That water safety team were amazing, count how many seconds it was between the shark popping up and them pulling both guys. Not even 30 seconds. Julian and the water team are absolute heroes
you would think the boats and jet skis would have been positioned just behind the break. The noise would have probably kept the shark away.... Not to mention response times.
Praise God both ok. I read a comment from someone that found /read on Google I believe that yellow is bad in attracting sharks BUT then why does the bottom of their boat(s) seen in other vids yellow. Odd. Would seem then would be fine or not inforned or educated on this very important safety info.
Alex Fu South Africa and Australia have the same sharks migrate and in South Africa they Breach the water all the time and have landed in boats. South Australia and South Africa are ripe breeding grounds for great whites and South Africa may be a bit worse due to their aggression and breaching, but there have been cases of great whites tag teaming a guy on ski’s behind a boat in south Australia where the sharks both leapt for him at the same time and tore him in half. For some reason there’s been quite a few cases where two great whites attacked the one person but they only like to admit it publicly when there’s more than the victim as a witness, because they don’t like the public to know they have been tag teaming during attacks. They don’t want a public panic but if you look at the autopsy reports from the great white attacks they have mentioned 2 separate jaw sizes in the bites quite a few times. Goes against the theory that they are solo hunters. Over 20 people saw the guy get taken as two whites jumped out and got him at the same time, but before all the other witnesses came forward they were told they were imagining things by experts lol. Experts always say that but the witness’s refused to back down and told the media about the two white sharks attacking him at once. They’re evolving to hunt humans. The guy was on ski’s.
I decided this month to start reading some comments. Guess I'm a big girl now. But this Chuck Norris line is the best shit I've ever read. You are awesome too lol
Not millions, but every year there are numerous shark attacks around the world. This isn't a laughing matter, it is a fact. In 2016, there were a total of 107 shark attacks.
Surfing is dangerous, the surfers know the risk of shark attacks, but they just choose to ignore it and live in denial. Simply put, there is nothing you can do to prevent it. Some say, don't surf during dawn and dusk and always go with friends. Ultimately, if a shark wants to take you, no one will be able to help you.
Live in denial? Or they leave in reality where they know they are more likely to be killed from a falling bolt of a commercial airliner than they do of being killed by a shark. You clueless sheep.
Now run along little guy and go back to your lake and catch you little bass. HAHAHAHAHAHA, "I fish" hahaha what a joke. Big dangerous bass fisherman! Got me dying here dude!
You ain't shit you little ego fuck! No one is arguing with you except you. You showed up on this channel just to disrespect a sport that you could never have the courage for. I can't wait for the karma police to cut down your family / friends (which I doubt you really have). Again... why are you showing up on this video to disrespect and say "we" are the ones arguing.
Hey man, I don't agree with the original poster but don't ever bring race into this... you are on the wrong side of history by being racist. Now let's all surf and have fun!

When he said there was no one in the water there was someone dropping in on a wave down the peak ha!!
I beg to differ. A very "fortunate" experience. Consider the alternative outcome. 🙏

anyone who surfs in south Africa or Australia knows the risks
True. But South Africa has more shark attacks.
Australia is worse actually.

The ocean is a sharks home not humans
If you surf in SA you are GOING to get bit eventually.
I'm guessing you've never surfed in your life? If what you said is true, millions upon millions would have been bit lol.
