Hi Karl, wanted to share the update with you! We finally got our 190 granted in 11 months. In this long journey your channel has been of great support and I truly appreciate all your effort to bring genuine content. Best wishes for you and your channel and best of luck to everyone who is in this journey!
Hello, dear Karl. Thank you for supporting 188A visa applicants. It has been more than three years since we received our invitations and our cases have not been investigated yet. This waiting and confusion has messed up the order of our lives and work plans. I hope that with your help, our voice of protest will reach the Labor government.
Thank you for the update and giving voice to how awful the situation has become under the current government. Great work on supporting everyone along the way who has applied for their visas.
Hi Karl according to this new administration report published by home affairs “Reducing the maximum age limit to 35 years old inclusive (previously 50 years old)” means students who below 36 years old can apply right ? With the word “inclusive “ I believe it clarifies the upper limit of age. It says previously it was 50 which means below 50 and now it’s 35 inclusive. What do you think Karl?
@@ailsaustralia is there any way to clarify this ? Can we ask from Home Affairs for clarification regarding this inclusive means below 36 ? Because if we check their other visas like subclass 462 work and holiday visa it says be 18-30 years old (inclusive) and they further explained “If you apply for the visa while you are 30, but turn 31 before we have made a decision, we can still grant you the visa if you meet all other requirements” which means anyone below 31 eligible when the term “inclusive” applies. I think in this case if they say 35 years old inclusive means same scenario should apply but i think we need confirmation from them.
@@scnsvm it should be. Department has released a fact sheet for upcoming mate visa and it describes eligible age limit as 30 years old (inclusive) or younger at the time of application. So we can expect with this recent inclusive term 485 visa age limit will be 35 years old inclusive or younger at the time of application. With this new administration report department has clarified this and few other things including hong kong and British passport holders tgv duration as well. So we can expect more clarity on this very soon. But unfortunately nothing mentioned regarding the current students 😢
@@ChamilVimukthiMadusanka89 It means 35 years and 364 days old, it is like the 462 visa (working holiday visa) that shows that you can apply until you are 30 years old inclusive (30 years and 364 days old).
Hi Karl. I appreciate you for supporting 188A visa applicants. I have applied for this visa in may 2021. I am still waiting for 188A (innovation stream) visa to be grant .
Will they give transition period for people who are already here in Australia when they implement the above 35 age rule for 485? It’s devastating to see that we spent hefty amounts to gain so called quality education and have to go back gaining nothing. It’s so inhuman. We would never apply for MBA if we knew the government will not allow post study work visa for people above 35.
So much uncertainty caused by DOHA. Skilled Migration Allocations reduced by 70%. 476 visa cap and ceased in an unjust manner. Sudden agr cap implemented on 485. And now, they are handing over so many refusals. Hoping for things to get better.
Frustrating and angering the international education sector is akin to placing political landmines to their re-election chances, also give opposition solid foundation to gain support from universities. I’d say this is a potentially costly mistake to make for Labor and can hurt them in 2026.
@@jessiejordan2853 immigrants are the supporting ground of this land, population is never an overload, dont blame all the issue to immigrants, the only reason is these stupid politics.
The Australian Home Affairs blaming immigrants for housing and pricing issues is a simplistic and unfounded excuse. It overlooks the complex factors contributing to these problems and unfairly targets immigrants. Such a one-dimensional explanation is lazy and fails to address the root causes of housing and pricing issues effectively. Population is never the overload, instead, this is the supporting ground of a healthy growing country. In China, we have a very applicable phrase to describe the behavior of Australian home affair policy makers, which means "Burning bridges across rivers." It symbolizes the destructive and shortsighted nature of blaming others without considering the consequences or addressing the underlying issues.
@@ailsaustralia At the risk of repeating myself let me say again, Kudos to your follow up on this matter and being our only voice in this chaos. Lot of planning and financials are under stress if at all things go south.
My brother applied university of CSU or CQU Port Macquarie in november and then this week they were told that they have to differ the offer letter to july. They couldnot even refuse or accept GTE
Hi karl, Thanks for updating. The denial of 485 visas to students over the age of 35 who are already studying in Australia is heartbreaking. We came here because we agreed with the existing laws. International experience is a way to find a good job in our country. Do you think they will give the current student a transition period or applying grandfathering law for this age cap?
I think we should stop saying this international experience thing. The international study business has always been pretty clear, international students pay astronomically high fees for a few years in exchange of the post graduate work visa, which will give them a chance of employment and then eventually migration if one is competent and lucky. This is the reason many many people are willing to accept the high fees. It's basically fees for work visa. Now they are rescinding on their end of the promise. Most people aren't paying the fees for Australia's "world class" education, because the education quality is simply very average. People are paying to get the post graduate work visa.
@@minervali631 you just view this issue from a different perspective than international students. Australia's education is not world-class compared to some of the US universities but still quite high on the rank, but it's the students who will find ways to take advantage of the resources they had during their study, from access to expensive programs on cheap price or free to meeting all kinds of people from around the world to liaising with professors, tutors and so on, eventually passing exams and enjoying the university experience. If someone really wants to obtain overseas work experience, they can just choose the cheaper pathway of 482/494/186DE. Heck, even 407 training visa is a good alternative, and the cost is low as well. It seems counterintuitive to obtain 485 visa by spending very expensive international student course fees and several years just to be eligible for that vaunted 485.
@@minervali631 exactly, the international education here in australia is more like a high profitable easy money cash cow business. The quality of education is not very well to be honesty.
What's more funny is... People are opting to study Nursing just to get their PR. Once their PR is granted, they leave Nursing and become an Uber driver.
Hi Carl, the subclass 191 visa is processing very slow. The processing time keeps increasing on monthly basis however we can see very few files are being opened. We all are desperately waiting for our grants which helps us to achieve the goals that we have set in Australia. Thank you
Hi Karl, great news! Last week I got my 491 visa granted, after a 9 months wait (NSW). I'm not an AILS customer, because I found out about you a bit too late and I had already started the process with another agent (back to 3 years ago). However, I've watched almost all of your videos and I'll keep doing it. Your job with this channel is simply priceless. You've given me so many insights and heads-up in time, I've lost count. You have no idea how much your videos have helped me hold on during the long and often nerve-racking process. Should I ever need to change agent, or get a second opinion, I wouldn't think twice of whom to choose. Cheers mate!
I have been an international student at the university of Western Australia from 2020 to 2023 and due to the pandemic and several health conditions i had, I completed only 1 year's course load and recently applied for a 2 years student visa. Unfortunately, it was refused and I applied for a second student visa and it has been 20 days already. My course started this week and if the decison maker takes any more time, I might have to defer another semester resulting in me losing 2 years. Furthermore, I showed about 70,000 AUD in my finances indicating that I have sufficient funds to live about 2 years in Australia. Oh well, Australia's decision makers are stealing about 42 billion dollars from rejected applicants blatantly like that shows how much the country cares
It’s worth noting that when submitting your application for JRE, you also need to attach an employment verification report. The EVR asks you to report on your work duties and employer for them to approve as relevant to your occupation. Meaning, there’s a scenario in which it can take 7 months for them to look at your application, and then decide that your employment is not valid and the previous 7 months you’ve worked counted for nothing.
TRA has been trampling people’s right and willingness to serve this country. Why Australia sending such confusing message is beyond me. They should’ve been cancelled their license to do skills assessment years ago.
I came here with 476 visa. And at the end of 1.5 years, I decided to leave, because, new policies of the immigration about the students. It feels like gambling when you apply for a student visa, which does not worth it. I feel I wasted my time here and I don’t have good thoughts about Australia’s immigration policies. I think Immigration system in this country has turned into a scam.
Ho karl. We lodged the EOI for 189 at 80 points in December 2022 as a chef in victoria. Coz August 2022 they gave about 30k invitations including chefs for just 65 points. Can you advise us what kind of situation will be for us hoping for thia visa. We lodged the EOI for 189 even before we granted the 408 and even before our 485 visa expired. Now we are on 408 where that visa also be expiring on coming 2025 march. Will there be any alternatives for us karl? We did all we had to according to the law . Pls advise us on this regard. Thanks
I completed my PSA in JRP and want to move with JRE but my EVR is not available on the TRA website for ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN job. Asked them for it few months ago but still nothing yet. Since I can backdate only 3 months of experience by the date I apply for JRE step ,it may take even longer than 1.5 years apparently. Just inefficient and disappointed !
One of my friend from Nepal had got 70 percent tution reduction from Edith Cowan University (one of the best universities in Aus ) for Bachelor of Nursing, she spend hundred of dollars in applying student visa, she got her visa application refused citing the applicant home country economic condition, which seems very unfair...The DOHA needs to do better, in terms of providing a better reasoning about the refusal. Its sad fot young students.
Hey Karl, I wanted to thank you because you are always very informative . I have a comment about the number of the VICTORIAN nominations' allocations as per the table indicatd in the video at the "minute 3 - second 59 " on the official website of DHA they say it's 2700 for the 190, and 600 for the 491. Do we have a chance of a fast track that can invite the people with the normal average points on a priority occupation such as 70 and 80 on 190 and 491 respectively ? Kind regards 🙏
Had applied for my student visa on 18th of December. Its been 2 months and no response yet from the DHA. The least they could do is increase the bar of quality of students. Why doesn't the DHA understand that people here have to start planning months in advance before even applying for a student visa, right from application to university, submitting documents, unconditional offer letters, COE etc which take a minimum of 3-4 months, depending on the university. Had to defer to may 2024 intake from January 2024, because of this delay. I just hope they get back on track and understand that they are responsible for the careers of these students.
No points of bringing too many students without securing housing for current students and reducing backlogs that's been created from past years. Advise for future students " apply in regional uni which will help you securing both PR and Job" such as CDU if you study there, it's almost 100% gurenteed you would get PR if you study in PR listed courses.
@@saiprasad4952 present situation is really good. I'm not any agent or lawyer. I did my masters in accounting from regional uni in Darwin and after two years i got PR. Except 3 big cities rest of them are regional but i would say job market is slowing down so be careful in future they might exclude some big cities from regional list. Do some research about the pre-covid-19 time which will guide you choosing regional area which would unlikely be excluded in future.
Hi Karl, Greetings from NZ. I have Nepalese friends who are looking at emigrating to Australia or NZ and they recommended your channel, mainly to show me just how very complicated and confusing the process is and what would-be immigrant workers and students have to go through in order to achieve a better life for themselves and their future families. When I see what immigrants and refugees around the world are currently going through it makes me really sad. Especially when I know that the vast majority of people now living in Australia and NZ (including my ancestors) are only here because their families in the past were successful immigrants or were given refuge in a time of need.
The department of home affairs is full of a bunch of confused elements starting from the Minister. Last year they had a task force that looked to see how migration worked for Australia (streamlined), but as it is , its more in shambles.
Hi, Karl; I'd like to know if my course was on 15/3/2023, and I decided to finish it on 13/10/2024; just wondering if I meet the 16 months of Australia study requirement.
Since we applied for the 188 visa, they have changed the time for reviewing this visa on the website of the Immigration Department several times. One day, this visa was supposed to be issued for eighteen months, but today the time for reviewing this visa has been announced as 43 months, and it will definitely change again with this process. did It may even be 50 months or 60 months or more. We all know that no country treats visa applicants this unfairly. We have been invited under Australian immigration laws, this is not fair treatment. Please be our voice.
Hi karl. I am motor mechanic. Please reply to my comment. I am waiting TRA to open my JRFA ( job ready final assessment portal) since January 5th when I got positive outcome for my JRWA. Still they didn’t open the Final assessment portal. Its really frustrating. Whenever I call they say, they are running with reduced staff and they don’t know when they gonna open the Final Assessment portal. My visa ( 485) is about to expire in August and I need to apply for a visa before it expires. Every states running with low quota for this year and I don’t what I am gonna do. I need to make a complaint about this to make the process quicker in TRA. Please guide me, how to solve this issue. I am happy to pay consultation fee to you to get an advice regarding this matter.
That is insane, how can they make so much money out of visa refusal. And that is only the application fees, what about those who had bought health insurances, taking English test, gathering of documents et etc. And the refusal is no fault of the students but had to bear all the costs. I think the Govt had to honest about it. Refund the application fees to all those who had their visa refused. Now It looks like the Australian visa application had become a Casino. Its not only a mockery but wickedness to earn such money from the failures of student visa applications.
Do you know how is the percentage of approval in sponsor visa 482? Or they are only targeting student? I’m aiming to apply for 482, but I’m scare with those refusal
482 is government’s highest priority visa subclass in terms of processing based on what I see. Some folks got their nomination application and visa approved in just one day. (You need nomination application approved before your visa can be granted) As long as you do the right thing, refusal is less likely compared to student visas.
TRA waiting times are worse than ever! I complaint in every way that I could, and the only answer is that they have a big backlog, not enough people working, blah blah blah. It’s super frustrating, in my case I applied for the first step in September 2022 and still waiting for my skills assessment, last time I spoke to them they told me to wait until April 😵💫😵💫😵💫 they put their prices up last year and they’re not even working!!
Dear Karl, I applied for 491 SA State Sponsored on 21 Oct 2022, and still, the file is in "Received" status Can you please advise what are the possible ways to nudge the department and get it done? In Dec last year i.e. 2023, the timelines were showing that 90% of the applications had been completed for the people who applied in Oct 2022, and now again it changed and shows me an extended timeline of 18 months. I am now losing my head as to why the department has been delaying it again and again or is it due to some system error my file is not getting picked up and mind me second case is very terrifying. Please help
last time during the senate hearing DOHA basically admitted they process recent applications first before going back to deal with the backlog. My guess is DOHA probably didn't pick up your visa and put it into a queue for processing last year, and they might have forgotten about it. My experience for my 190, submitted on 12 Mar 2023, was picked up by DOHA on 05 Dec 2023 and received the grant letter on 13 Feb 2024. I knew they picked mine up because they sent "IMMI Assessment commence" email after calling my phone to confirm if I wanted to proceed or not. I don't know if your visa was handled by an agent or you submitted it yourself (meaning no form 956). I suggest you take measures to follow up, or contact DOHA for processing enquiries. At least let them know you are still waiting.
That's correct - but how to follow up, all emails seem to have pre-written text as a response whenever I message them. They don't want to hear even though we have paid them and waited for so long on their decision.@@estellebright2579
Hi Karl. What do you think about the states that still have several hundreds quota for 190/491? For example, NSW has so much remaining quota, although there are thousands of submitted EOIs according to SkillSelect Dashboard. Lots of them have quite high points like 85+. I really don’t get it.
Hi Karl, just checking if you can answer my question. My occupation is social worker and I have received 189 invitation in the last round my question is few of my friends also got invited on a same day and they got grant as well but I haven’t received my grant yet. Can I call to immigration office?
Hey Karl, this age limit for the 485 sounds a bit ambiguous. Is the age limit going to be 34, 11 months and 30 days, or is it going to be UP TO 35 years old? I'm asking because I just turn 35 in February and I'm supposed to apply for thr 485 in July. Thank you.
Hi Karl , Thanks for this analysis. @anyone Can I pls know whether someone eligible for the initial 485 visa can be ineligible for the 485 extension( regional) as a result of reaching 35 years at the time of applying for 485 extension. ? Thank you. all
Hi, Carl, if someone has valid PTE before lodging application and that result expired during the processing time, will that still be valid till the outcome of the application?, even if that application took 5 years. Thanks.
Applying for student visa, VET course, over 35 yrs old. 2.5 months of waiting and counting. Watching some recent videos makes me think I should just expect rejection 😢
Hi sir now a days 191 visa grant is so slow and taking now around 3 months before it’s taking only 15 days to 1 month .we don’t see any grants in some days .I have no idea what is going on really feel hopeless and processing times keep increasing . We spend already 3 years in regional area and still want to wait it’s so frustrating.😔
I can feel the substantial compliance of 491 conditions (8578, 8579, 8580, 8581) are going to be a bit time-consuming to check when more and more people are submitting their 191 after holding 491 for 3 years and able to produce 3 years of ATO income tax notices.
There are no jobs for these graduates in Australia - the government has no clue of what is happening on the ground in the employment market. Grads are stuck in dead end jobs and at worst working in jobs which have nothing to do with their degrees. They are also competing with local grads coming out of uni in Australia who usually get first stabs at grad jobs. The government is brain dead setting false expectations.
Tra nees to do something... finished 850 hrs and yet no one came to assess.... almost finishing my hrs and nothing have been done....so so disappointed
My wife applied for Swinburne university and our agents said that there is no GTE interview but one day an university representative called her from India and asked questions around 30 minutes and my wife done it properly. During the interview the interviewer asked some unnecessary questions and comments about our names compare to there culture and it’s was like a spam call it was not professional. In the end we received an email that she got rejected because her non academic criteria not satisfied for them. We don’t care about the rejection if we had any problem but the interview was unprofessional we were so frustrated.
Yes it’s true we are from Sri Lanka and we got rejected from the Indian representative before we get the offer letter but all our documents are genuine and we both have good academic and career history
Hi Karl, considering reduced invites for General skilled migration. What would be future of processing time for 190 and 189 visas? Waiting from 10 months
Generally the waiting time is between 10 and 12 months. But if your case is complex and DOHA needing to check with other department or overseas post, your processing time can take a lot longer.
Dear karl, thank you so much for your insightful video. I launched 491 Subsequent entrant visa for my wife. Its been more than 7 months and we are still waiting for the grant. I'm planning to lodge visitors visa for her. I heard there are many rejections these days. And my question is if there is a rejection on her visitors visa, will it show any impact on the 491 Subsequenet entrant that we lodged for her already or any future applications? If you could please advise me in this regard, I'll be very grateful. Thanks in advance.
Cant wait to see the outcome of next intake student visa on GST basis. Will GST be actually able to recognize who is a genuine student and who isn't? Lets hope so.
GST is just a rebranded GTE for the most part I'd argue, with one notable change that student can clearly state their intention to migrate without being penalised. The onus is still on s65 delegates (aka case officers) to apply their training and skills to filter out non-genuine students. What's more impactful is the possible change of subclass 500 criteria. Will they add 485 as a visa that the applicant cannot hold as the last substantive visa to be eligible for onshore student visa grant? Will they limit how many student visas one can be granted while onshore? Still a bit of unknown.
Hi Dear karl, I got invite on 9th Feb 2024. One query while I was working in India I took LOA for 1.2 years and visited Sydney in 2019 but in ACS they didn’t check that and they gave total experience as 5.6 years because of which I got 10 points offshore experience. While submitting the documents for nomination approval will it cause any problem due to my LOA period as I have my payslips with zero credit. Offshore total experience I have is 9 years 6 months. People are saying as the points are getting reduced the invite will be rejected either at nomination or at DOHA. Could you please assist here. Thanks in advance
If you don't disclose it, your visa will not doubt be forfeited later on. Better to disclose it now than be sorry later. I had known a friend in similar circumstances and he kept quiet and applied but DHA will ask for each and every evidence and scrutinize every day of how you spent your life after your birth. His visa was ultimately denied and got a 5 year ban as well.
Hi Karl, Just to bring to your attention that in Pakistan, the student visa rejection rate is around 77% due to political instability. And, students like me with their education from highly reputed institutions and stable financial background are also in confusion about their applications. Sadly, we are not responsible for this instability, but since our new government is not made yet, there is no one to raise this concern with the Australian government.
That is disgusting, they should be ashamed for using GTE to make money of the poor students who want a good education. Seems like everyone is going America or Europe.
The student visa mandatory condition 8208 (basically no critical technology study without prior approval) now has a list of "critical technology" that student doing master by research or doctoral degree would need minister approval before continuing the study. The list is below: Advanced manufacturing and materials technology Artificial intelligence technology Advanced information and communication technology Biotechnology Clean energy generation and storage technology Quantum technology Autonomous systems, robotics, positioning, timing, and sensing technology I reckon students from certain countries will have an even harder time getting their student visa granted smoothly, much less getting granted quickly. Students from Iran already cannot switch courses without minister approval. Australia is ramping up its efforts by limiting who can study what. The related legislative instrument "Migration (Critical Technology - Kinds of Technology) Specification (LIN 24/010) 2024" and "Migration (Designated Migration Law - Visa Condition 8208) Determination (LIN 24/009) 2024" were released on 15 Feb 2024.

All you can do is finger crossed and hope. However, because of the 491 backlog, you can expect a grant to likely happen after July 2026, unless your occupation belongs to one of those priority health teaching and social worker applications.
My wife’s student subsequent 500 visa got rejected yesterday after 4 months wait time. And now I am regretting that why I chose Australia over UK & Canada.
Uk is kind of doing the same thing had high imogration, so cutting the numbers and no dependent for a lot of visa, then a lot of people are finding Canada hard to live as a student. Canada has a 30% in take but almost 20%, leaving rate. I can see most of the imogration into Australia, will start coming from UK and the European again as trade people are at a high level compared to alot of countries, also Students who have done there Masters in the UK and Europe will be more likely to get a PHD offer in Australia as they are more likely to get a visa.
my brother will turn 35 when he finishing his course. 1st 24 hours restrictions then age restrictions then visa refusal and also blaming international students for everything like housing and prices. My friend is already 37 everything is over for him. Thank you Aussie government for all the lies and false promises.

Looks like have to be under 35 but we will see
@@ailsaustralia is there any way to clarify this ? Can we ask from Home Affairs for clarification regarding this inclusive means below 36 ? Because if we check their other visas like subclass 462 work and holiday visa it says be 18-30 years old (inclusive) and they further explained “If you apply for the visa while you are 30, but turn 31 before we have made a decision, we can still grant you the visa if you meet all other requirements” which means anyone below 31 eligible when the term “inclusive” applies. I think in this case if they say 35 years old inclusive means same scenario should apply but i think we need confirmation from them.
@@ChamilVimukthiMadusanka89I think 35 years old inclusive means below 36 years birthday.
We would never apply for MBA if we knew the government will not allow post study work visa for people above 35.
they dont, the offical web site of australian home affair already released a proposal. they dont care about people over 35 , never.
So much uncertainty caused by DOHA. Skilled Migration Allocations reduced by 70%. 476 visa cap and ceased in an unjust manner. Sudden agr cap implemented on 485.
And now, they are handing over so many refusals.
Hoping for things to get better.
Me too!!
Frustrating and angering the international education sector is akin to placing political landmines to their re-election chances, also give opposition solid foundation to gain support from universities. I’d say this is a potentially costly mistake to make for Labor and can hurt them in 2026.
476 was a shit visa , everybody knows it and better should believe it
@@jessiejordan2853 immigrants are the supporting ground of this land, population is never an overload, dont blame all the issue to immigrants, the only reason is these stupid politics.
Hi karl,
So, does that mean that once you turn 35 you will not be eligible for visa 485 (if the rule is enforced)?
Hoping and praying 485 age reduction will have a transitional arrangement in place ✍🏻
Hope so, I cant see them getting away with it if they don't
@@ailsaustralia At the risk of repeating myself let me say again, Kudos to your follow up on this matter and being our only voice in this chaos. Lot of planning and financials are under stress if at all things go south.
My brother applied university of CSU or CQU Port Macquarie in november and then this week they were told that they have to differ the offer letter to july. They couldnot even refuse or accept GTE
Sounds a little fishy

Congrats, What field did you applied 491 for ? i have been waiting more than 18 months now, very frustrating

Hi Karl,Thank you for your attention to 188A visa🙏🏻
My pleasure!
Hello karl. Thanks for your support about 188A visa backlog ❤❤❤ 🙏🙏🙏🙏
No problem 😊
It’s worth noting that when submitting your application for JRE, you also need to attach an employment verification report. The EVR asks you to report on your work duties and employer for them to approve as relevant to your occupation.
Meaning, there’s a scenario in which it can take 7 months for them to look at your application, and then decide that your employment is not valid and the previous 7 months you’ve worked counted for nothing.
Valid point indeed, thanks for your insight
TRA has been trampling people’s right and willingness to serve this country. Why Australia sending such confusing message is beyond me. They should’ve been cancelled their license to do skills assessment years ago.
I came here with 476 visa. And at the end of 1.5 years, I decided to leave, because, new policies of the immigration about the students. It feels like gambling when you apply for a student visa, which does not worth it. I feel I wasted my time here and I don’t have good thoughts about Australia’s immigration policies. I think Immigration system in this country has turned into a scam.
Sorry to hear but I can understand how you feel
Hey, did you consider to study at all?
I’m beginning to loathe this country

Hi Karl, Greetings from NZ. I have Nepalese friends who are looking at emigrating to Australia or NZ and they recommended your channel, mainly to show me just how very complicated and confusing the process is and what would-be immigrant workers and students have to go through in order to achieve a better life for themselves and their future families. When I see what immigrants and refugees around the world are currently going through it makes me really sad. Especially when I know that the vast majority of people now living in Australia and NZ (including my ancestors) are only here because their families in the past were successful immigrants or were given refuge in a time of need.
Hi Karl, now documents says for TGV , 35 inclusive. “ inclusive “ means if you are 35 and 10 months, still you get TGV, right?
Don't feel entitled. Getting a visa is not your birthright
Yes please book a time and we can discuss the options. Sorry to hear you have had that trouble
476 sub class visa...is there any chance of reopening of this visa?
Do you know how is the percentage of approval in sponsor visa 482?
Or they are only targeting student?
I’m aiming to apply for 482, but I’m scare with those refusal
482 visa usually do not have problems
Amazing they keep getting away with this. Sorry to hear your experiences

There are no jobs for these graduates in Australia - the government has no clue of what is happening on the ground in the employment market. I think it will be the same rubbish criteria

Hi Karl, will this new age policy apply for already lodged 485 applications?
No
Hi Karl,
Just to bring to your attention that in Pakistan, the student visa rejection rate is around 77% due to political instability. And, students like me with their education from highly reputed institutions and stable financial background are also in confusion about their applications. Sadly, we are not responsible for this instability, but since our new government is not made yet, there is no one to raise this concern with the Australian government.
That does make thing difficult and yes the GTE can be used for any situation
That is disgusting, they should be ashamed for using GTE to make money of the poor students who want a good education. Seems like everyone is going America or Europe.
Thats what will end up happening
The student visa mandatory condition 8208 (basically no critical technology study without prior approval) now has a list of "critical technology" that student doing master by research or doctoral degree would need minister approval before continuing the study. The list is below:
Advanced manufacturing and materials technology
Artificial intelligence technology
Advanced information and communication technology
Biotechnology
Clean energy generation and storage technology
Quantum technology
Autonomous systems, robotics, positioning, timing, and sensing technology
I reckon students from certain countries will have an even harder time getting their student visa granted smoothly, much less getting granted quickly.

And they don't give nomination for 186
And government is not looking after this kind of exploitation😢
And I can't work in part time also
With 70K living and saving money in Sydney is nightmare.......
yes there should be more of a focus on this issue, thanks for raising it
This is everywhere, 482 visa holders face exploitation but govt is doing nothing to stop this.
@@ailsaustralia Please cover this topic and please raise this to government if possible....
It will help lacks of 482 Visa holder out there.
They can't talk, because the company will tell them go back, just like that after using them for years.
And government want them to work and to pay tax and don't want to create any policy to look after those people.
These people are highly skilled and already supporting work force and economey, but their future is tied up with those gready company.
@@jitendermor3826 I know your pain mait.
I am in Australia for last 5 years. Unluckily still in 482 visa.
Gov is not giving importance to people with experience and already living and working for ages . And they campaign about skilled shortage.
Hey Karl

Hi dear karl..does the unprecedented clampdown on student visa and international students mean more skilled migration viz a viz overall net migration
Not really, sorry
Hello Karl, Thanks for another informative video. Is there any way to ask or request immigration minister to include our 491 visa grant wait time for 191 visa application. As its a long wait of 3 years after waiting endlessly for more than 18 months to get a 491 visa. Thanks
I wish there was but that would require a legislation change so the chances are not good
Thats sad, because at the time when this Product (; 491 Visa was introduced by ScoMo government, they said that it would be an express visa and would be dealt with on priority over any other visa subclass to promote people to live in regional areas, but what we are seeing now is just the opposite ): @@ailsaustralia

Karl, when r u contesting election and become Minister of immigration dept. Seriously u should.
ha too old, that train left the station a long time ago but thanks for the support
Hi Karl
Thanks for informative video. It gives us clarification regarding new changes. I have one query like people who are currently on Student visa expiring after July 2024, would they be able to apply another student visa onshore in case needed (not get state nomination or 189 invitation this financial year). 485 has already been expired.
Thanks
You can try, but it will harder
@@ailsaustraliathanks for your reply.
"Hello Karl, I'm really pleased to see that you have a TH-cam channel. Could you provide some insights and a video on marriage visa fraud? Specifically, how can one report instances where individuals cheat others into marriage to gain permanent residency as secondary applicants? Thank you in advance for your help."
Hi,
I have already submitted EOI 491 in VICTORIA.
so, Can I submit EOI 491 Western Australia.
I am from Regional Victoria.
Thanks
Hi Karl,
I have already submitted 491 EOI from Victoria 2 weeks ago as a chef with 65 points including state points.
Can I submit any EOI for other state?
Thanks
Yes, you can as long as you meet their requirements. best to create a new EOI for any other states
Regional skilled visas( 491 and 190) will be important for Australia …
Yes it is and will be
Hi Karl, Finally I have submitted my 491 visa application on 07th February and hoping to get the grant as early as possible. Do you have any idea of real time processing time except from the one illustrated on home affairs website
Mulla with mulla brain
All you can do is finger crossed and hope.
However, because of the 491 backlog, you can expect a grant to likely happen after July 2026, unless your occupation belongs to one of those priority health teaching and social worker applications.
many I have spoken to recently had theirs granted in 9 months
@@estellebright2579 🥺
@@estellebright2579 u mean July 2025? nearly 18 months as in their website. 2026 is too much.
Applied for the student visa subclass 500 on jan 11 ..how long will it take get processed
no way of knowing depending upon a few factors. Best of luck for the outcome!
Any update on 476?
Im afraid nothing to report of any changes
Pathetic services highly disappointed by the Australian government
Still waiting for the student visa.... 🤞🍀
Hope so soon for you
When did you apply?
Hi Karl, nice job😊
Hey, thanks
It takes 2-3 years or more to find job in your own field as an international . This is not enough time
Yes that is often the case, more time should be recognised
my brother will turn 35 when he finishing his course. 1st 24 hours restrictions then age restrictions then visa refusal and also blaming international students for everything like housing and prices. My friend is already 37 everything is over for him. Thank you Aussie government for all the lies and false promises.
How he is planning to stay now?
