The Ready Room (and honestly, anything Wil hosts!) is always such a treat! I sincerely hope we get a return to the full-length style in coming seasons, as Wil does such a wonderful job at truly making these interviews feel like we're just in a room with friends talking.
Dude, that Breen gun reveal was the coolest, most 80s-retro-futuristic thing I've seen in a very long time. Maybe it's the length of the barrel, but the tracer delay is so much more apparent than when Book and Burnham bring out their phasers. Very cool minor detail and I'm here for it.
The Prime Directive: The universe's most strongly worded suggestion. These episodes are great as always, but I'm bummed they've been cut down to half length. I hope this isn't just paramount throwing in half effort because the show is ending.
Principles before personalities...the 12th Tradition. I get the vibe that this man has been in 'the rooms'. Great actor. Really hope to see more of his character in future Treks.
this guy has brought back the series for me as has season 5 in general. glad to see it going out on a high note as i was not a fan of previous seasons.
It's a testament to a good actor when you hate them because of a role they played. He did a good job of making me hate him as a Cylon. I assume it was verboten to talk about BSG, but I'm glad to see him enter the Star Trek universe.
the ready room has become just as much a part of star trek as the shows an movies have over the years i hope that discovery gets a movie its well deserved for being such a amazing series .
Like you when I saw our new future commander on discovery. This is a guy you can fall in love with. He is fun to watch is fun to listen to any. Makes the experience that much more enjoyable.
@13:45 - lol, that is exactly what I was thinking when she said that. Nothing is a safer bet that when they say they can't break the prime directive, they are gonna break the prime directive.
"principles before personalities" from the 12th tradition:... we are to place principles before personalities; that we are actually to practice a genuine humility.
My favorite character of Callum Keith Rennie's was in the near post apocalyptic film, 'LAST NIGHT.' It is a must see film for any and all of us that care about certain death and redemption in the time left to us all and no -- 'LAST NIGHT' is not a religious film. D.A.
"I'm not a yes man" "I'm counting on that" and from there on any time he didn't toe the line or walk in lock-step with Burnham, she'd ream him a new one. This is just one reason why Discovery isn't as well-regarded as other Trek series.
I was wondering ... on the 5 episode.. when they pull the OLD Enterprise out of the worm hole... loc escapes in the OLD Medical pod.. and jumps to warp. UUMMMM how old was that ship? What was the maximum warp on that LITTLE OLD Medical pod? Not warp 9!! So I call total BS on it... the Discovery had a warp trail to follow. They followed their advanced ship before!! (in the same season even, previous episodes). Even with a decoy Multiple warp signature put out. They could of caught them. But, that would have ruined the Bonnie and Clyde season story line... right. Do they need a "real" fan to help them with the details? I like Callum.. actually the whole cast is pretty good. But, details matter!! Milking it for all it's worth are we?
Star trek Discovery is the worst series and in fact its the only Star Trek series that I do not watch. Normally I want anything Star Trek since I am a GIANT fan but this is a huge black eyed mistake as far as the franchise is concerned. IMHO they would be better of just axing it and destroying all evidence of its existence.
I call it Weepscovery. I’ve never seen a captain crying almost every single episode. It started out glorious, and quickly became ignorable. P.s. don’t trust this guy, he’s a Cylon !!!!
I don't engage with things I dislike, so I find it odd when people choose to do so. I stopped watching ENTERPRISE midway through its first season and never returned nor do I waste my time engaging in anything that has to do with that series. So, why do you choose to be here?
Are you still engaging and whining about a show that has been on for seven years? Still? Like, are you still really that mad? Still? Is it still Burnham? Is it still Tilly? Does this show still, after all this time, really upset you that much? That is not healthy.
My first time seeing Callum Keith Rennie on television was Due South. So, it's fun seeing him in a bright red uniform now.
Aww yeah! Thank you for the reminder! That was a great show
that fraking toaster is a great actor!
Cylons are going to invade the Star Trek universe?
@@idmnstr They already have. Little did you know the main TNG cast are all Cylon. Q is just a Q.
@@idmnstrDid you think that “Equinox” just happened? They had a plan…or not.
@@stuartwald2395let’s not forget Baltar/Mr. Picard 😬
Edit: if we go to og BSG Baltar is Klingon Commander Kor 😨
Canadian actors man, this isn't a comeback! We've been here for years!!!

I think we’re missing the behind the scenes special features this season.
Personally, I want to see him back in the show!
Wil seems like such a genuine and decent person.
I've been a fan of Callum Keith Rennie since Hard Core Logo

Many thanks to Wil and Callum! 🖖
Rayner is among a few things I love best about "Star Trek: Discovery"--not just its final season.
I miss the longer version.
The Prime Directive: The universe's most strongly worded suggestion.
These episodes are great as always, but I'm bummed they've been cut down to half length. I hope this isn't just paramount throwing in half effort because the show is ending.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw it was 14 minutes long
Principles before personalities...the 12th Tradition. I get the vibe that this man has been in 'the rooms'.
Great actor. Really hope to see more of his character in future Treks.
Loving this season of Discovery so far!
This is an amazing season. The show has just leveled up!
Love "The Ready Room" and "Discovery "... Thanks, Wil 😊... I like Callum... He was great own "Due South" and "Battle Star"😊
Burnham and Georgiou will always be my favs - but Rayner is rocketing up the list for me! His and Burnham's scenes together are a joy.
Great interview Wil.
Ever since the 90s with "Double Happiness" and "Last Night" I've had a massive crush on Callum Keith Rennie. He's the bee's knees❣
this guy has brought back the series for me as has season 5 in general. glad to see it going out on a high note as i was not a fan of previous seasons.
Will why was the Ready Room shortened to barely 15 minutes ?
It's a testament to a good actor when you hate them because of a role they played. He did a good job of making me hate him as a Cylon.
I assume it was verboten to talk about BSG, but I'm glad to see him enter the Star Trek universe.
I wish these were longer
that's what she said
He was cool in blade😊
I love this dude from due south!
Did anyone watching this week's episode noticed "Morn" in the bar scene?😊
the ready room has become just as much a part of star trek as the shows an movies have over the years i hope that discovery gets a movie its well deserved for being such a amazing series .

Great character, great season
Cal, still amazing, versatile, hot.
We will miss Detmer and Oshokoyne.

I've never seen a better written and acted show than Battlestar
"principles before personalities" from the 12th tradition:... we are to place principles before personalities; that we are actually to practice a genuine humility.
I wish your "Star Trek: Ready Room" was longer, back to 30 mins.
My favorite character of Callum Keith Rennie's was in the near post apocalyptic film, 'LAST NIGHT.'

Could paramount please put this back to 30 minutes please and thank you!
I hate this is the final season and we barely seen Saru. I hope he’s part of the spin-off.
Callum looks like he’d be able to play Bastion from x men perfectly
why is the ready room so short now?
Because they aren't heavily watched and don't make Paramount any money.
@@devoltar thats not true. They ARE heavily watched. It's more so that here isnt really that much to talk about...
THANKS for this!!!! Is it me, or is the RR shorter this season?
This is literally the only character I like on this show (this season).
Almost wants me to watch Disco just for Raynor
"I'm not a yes man" "I'm counting on that" and from there on any time he didn't toe the line or walk in lock-step with Burnham, she'd ream him a new one. This is just one reason why Discovery isn't as well-regarded as other Trek series.
6:13 Chacha now yall.
So this episode was… The Rennie Room?! 😊
Why end the fifth seasons fifth episode?
I liked you better as a Cylon. but episode 4 of Discovery, season 5, was pretty good.
Oh, I’ve heard a lot about the Breen. Big on canned tuna and government hacking, not so big on laptops.
The love child of Eric Roberts and Daniel Craig.

Wow there is a Cylon in Star Trek. Watch out people!
La'k never asked for this 😂
Of course he can't do the Vulcan salute, he's a frakin Cylon.
What specie does he play?
If i had just waited I would have found out! LOL. Keep up the awesomness Wil!
Callum Keth Rennie as Commander Rayner, Yummy!
He is the ONLY reason to watch Disco V5!
Lame.
