At my old high school, the Cobra Kai and the Miyagi Do students had a simmering tension all summer, and the first day of school a huge karate fight broke out. A kid was knocked over a second floor mezzanine railing and landed on the stair rail, effectively injuring his spine.
At my school, two boys got in a fight supposedly over weed. They were fighting very aggressively and teachers ran to break it up but one boy broke away and ran. This all took place in the cafeteria which had large glass windows so you could see what’s happening. When that boy ran, a teacher was outside of the cafeteria and football tackled him to the ground. I didn’t get to see how much damage the boys did to each other but I do remember blood being drawn. This was high school by the way so pretty dangerous for the teachers and everyone near by. Not that the fellow students cared, they just wanted something to record and post on social media.

After hearing these stories, I think that once you get to HS teachers should be allowed to throw hands in situations like these without back lash. 😂
