Scythe blade…that’s what they call them here. They call the small, handheld ones sickles…🤷 All I know is that I wasn’t going to put it in my finds bag!
Glad you enjoyed it Brian! Hey man, thanks for watching, and coming along. I’m heading back down to that valley to do some snooping in what WAS the town this afternoon.
Great hunt Steve, love the seated coins, especially the CC mint mark, I'm probably 2000 miles closer to Carson City than you, but have yet to find a CC coin.
I didn’t even KNOW what a CC mint mark was?! Had to look it up when I climbed out of the valley and got cell service, the day before, after finding a CC Quarter! I’m a little wiser now, but still no less amazed by how TWO Carson City coins wound up in the lawn of a brothel in the mountains of Pennsylvania?!?!? It’s only 2,555 miles west! I feel privileged to have found them. I’ll be spending more time down in that valley this month to try and beep another couple ones, before the goldenrod starts to sprout! According to an old newspaper article I found, there were 25 buildings in the logging town, although only 3 are left today. Thanks for watching, I’m glad you came along!
Thanks Dave! The ground is thawed, and I’ll be hitting lots of overgrown spots, now that the weeds are down from winter. Going to hit that logging town area as much as I can before the stemmy stuff start to grow again! Looks like you boys are getting out now too! Good luck out there!
