OMG you answered my issue, my 60w laser started burning circles and would not cut 3mm ply i purchased brand new tube and had same issue as told tube was bad. so my power supply is causing the issue. thank you
Im upgrading my 0812 Omtech 40 watt to the Cloudray M60 PSU and the Cloudray 60 watt tube. The PSU's are completely different in that the pin out blocks are different. I'm having a devil of a time trying to convert from the old PSU over to the new M60. Yours is the closest video Ive been able to find that actually shows the pin out blocks. Still not complete though for my setup. Thanks for your tutorial!
FYI, I have the same laser machine and same dead blue power supply. I replaced mine with the same one you did (by coincidence), which is working great. I took apart the old blue power supply figuring I can replace the flyback. In doing so, I found that it's a 40W flyback: HS-05-40JS9. So, it's a 40W supply, not 60W. Before installing the new supply, I tested it for power output and easily went beyond 60W (5mA into 6M ohm). I have a noticeable boost in laser power with the new supply.
Im was bay user hand laser 80W deliver to home and start cut on acrylic for 2 haurs next day start cut mdf 3mm after 2 haurs work in 15 min cutting proces the fluid get inside tube and stop fire im was replace tube for new 80W and after connect positiv and negative wired in no fire the tube did the weather swith can block psu to fire ? did weather swith in on IN and 5V pin on PSU ? did im needed loop this 2 pins ? thankiu
At one side of the power supply, there's a small hole with a built-in potentiometer. I thought it was for setting the maximum power, but after turning it more than 40 turns it does nothing at all. -the power supply still works ok-. Anyone knows how/when this pot should it work?.
Hi. Does the water protection and laser power out out lights come on when machine is in standby? My laser is no longer firing. Not sure if it's my tube or power supply. I have the red and black 60w power supply
I just replaced my RUICI 100 W CO2 Laser tube with new expensive RECI 100 Watt tube but kept the original power supply. It seems that I am not getting full power to do cutting even after adjusting all mirrors. Should I have to replace the exsting MYJG100W-1 AC110V Power supply? I have used this machine for less than a year! Please let me know.
Hello, I watched your video very well. I want to ask how to connect the cables to the terminals G, P, L, G, IN and 5V? I just installed PS Cloudray with the MYJG 40W type. Why when I press the laser test button, the laser beam keeps on? Thank you.
hy brother i have laser machine 100 waat can u help me when i turn on machine with watter coller the lcd of machine bilinking and also bilinking light of ruida contloer light no 15 with beep plz can u tell me what is problem
yikes it cuts like a 5w diode laser. Do you have any problems with the grounding. I would check every wire and make sure everything is inplace. Or maybe its a setting error. Ive spent years learning all the mechanics I know how to trouble shoot every problem on my machine
Hello, thanks for the video. I have a similar PSU (just 100W). There is a little switch between the AC voltage plug and the test button. Did you fiddle at all with it? Mine came with it being in the left position. Thanks
Did you ever find out what the problem was? Im going through about the same thing. I can engrave fine but it wont cut anything and showing on my MA meter max i can get it to run on full 100% power is 7ma . I ordered the same power supply as lot's said the factory PSU sucks and they go out easy/fast.
Yes I found out what was causing my problems. It was the mirrors and the focal lens. View the video. Watch "Final Part 5 of 60 Watt CO2 Laser Machine Repair." on TH-cam th-cam.com/video/oXBoD-L4ApU/w-d-xo.html
I assume you were going so slow cutting out the square because like me mine degraded slowly after time too. I used to cut through 1/4" poplar very clean and very fast.
thanks a lot for sharing your experience , sir i have a 60w laser cutting machine i wanna upgrade it to 80watts , should i replace just the tube and the power supply or there's another thinks to upgrade to ?? thanks again for your efforts
Was there any silicone curing time? or did you just go straight to lasering ASAP? if so, I'm gonna have to assume my own tube died cuz it just wants to arc to the casing instead of firing :(

Did you replace the tube and if so, how's it running?
Hi! Great video! But I do have a question: I too, have decided to upgrade my PS to a Cloudray... and I have the same situation of the old PS having 4 wires connected at the 120V side. The 4th one is at a connection labeled L-. The Cloudray doesn't have that, but has a hole labeled Laser. I was excited when I heard you say you had that situation... but I didn't see where you put the 4th wire... Does it go in the hole labeled Laser?
I had the same question, off curse I was not paying much attention while looking other things, then re-watched the video and searched for the power supply, the (L-) wire is located separte on the other side next to the red wire, at 5:30 minutes of the video you will see it...
@@oscararredondo64 That's great to hear. My Blue Power supply went out yesterday. and I went ahead and ordered a new Blue Power Supply, but I'll probably also order the CloudRay, for when the New Blue one goes out. Thanks for your Laser Videos, It's really appreciated.
what if machine doesent turn on ? lights fans or anything? It just stopped after cut and now has no power at all. i checked fuses, switches . its probally power supply?
You need to use a meter to see where the power stops. If I were in your shoes these are the steps to take. Do this only if you are comfortable and know how to use a meter. 1st the meter needs to be in AC mode read the outlet you are plugged into. You should read 110 to 120 AC. Next read AC power on both the low voltage and high voltage power supplies. You should read the same 110-120 volts on the line in to both power supplies. Next on the low voltage power supply need to change meter to DC mode to 200 volt range and read the output of the power supply should be 24V DC. I am thinking the problem is going to be your low voltage power supply because that turns on everything, controller display inside lights. The high voltage power supply activates the laser tube. Do you have the same Red Laser Machine that I have?

Great video Oscar very helpful. Hope you manage to fix the problem and put up a video of how you got over it. 👍👍👍

Please tell me more about the use and safety of that yellow wire loop on the 6 terminal plug. My laser water sensor got issues.
Great video, no BS, thanks for sharing, I hope you got it fixed
Hi, can I use this powersupply for high voltage? It is DC power?
Why on other wideo some people loop the IN and 5v ? is this some secure for weather sensor ?

I replaced my psu and mine is like new now and better than new. I cut faster and less power now.
Look at my other videos yes i got it fixed. Check your focal lens and mirrors to see if they are clean.
Thanks Oscar

What did you do with the spare black wire?
I wondered that - the old supply didn't have it so what else needed to be changed

ALWAYS match your power supply to the wattage of your tube, if you have an 80w tube buy a power supply that will supply it 80w.

So far everything running perfectly fine.

laser doesent even turn on led screen , nothing .
will try.
thanks
I want to convert my laser 50 watt to 100 watt so what should I have to ,only source change or laser tube or both have have to changed
Both laser tube and power supply needs to be replaced.
Are u using ramps 1.4 for controller?
And here I have never considered using silicon for solder...
Nor should you. This is foolish. Solder first then silicon...
