The more I watch this, the angrier I get. Mansour, you did NOT lose everything, you have your family secure in Canada! They left in the early days of the war. You stayed until March! Why did you leave? I tell you, because you had the means, the funds to get out of Gaza. Do not speak for Gazans who wished they would be out of this hell, that they remained steadfast. They would leave, just like yoU, IF THEY COULD! That is not the point..the point is that he speaks of the steadfastness of the people of Gaza from the comfort of Canada..Do you see an issue here? And he spoke of this AFTER his family was already out..I do have a problem with generalizing statements. Because the truth is definitely not tha all people of Gaza, or people of Gaza are steadfast. Again, if the borders would be open and the people would continue staying in Gaza, especially those with small children, Then yes, they would be super steadfast..But the situation is just not that..And Mansour's speech suspiciously sounds very favorring to Hamas, using the same adjectives and tropes. I fully disagree with Hamas, and that subjected their people to, not because the right to resist is not there. But because Gaza was not to be a war theater until you remove innocent citizens, mostly babies and children and women and elderly. After that, you can resist as much as you want. And you also knew the evil of Israel, that they would spare nothing to subject the people to horrendous attacks. So knowing all this and the fact they ignored the safety of their people and already designated them martyrs in absentia, it's not only gross incompetence but fanatic delusion.

Mansour, I deeply respect you, for your relentless reporting while still in Gaza, and I have been early on, one of the people who prayed for your safety when you were besieged in the Al Shifa Hospital. But I respectfully disagree wholeheartedly with your position now. You speak of Gazan's resilience and steadfastness. You sent your children and family out of the danger zone, in the first months, and you remained behind. You cannot tell me that that father who has been stuck in Gaza, is steadfast after losing all their children and wife and parents! You can't tell me that what happened on October the 7th was right. The right to resist is fundamental but the context of Gaza and the calculations were absolutely wrong. You resist when you have ensured population can be evacuated. If you cannot secure that, you don't start anything. If I am a mother in Gaza now, I did not choose to have my baby already martyr because someone else decided for me in the name of resistance. Not because that cannot be done, because dying is easy, but because the net result of the innocent casualties is beyond comprehension. Are you saying that Hamas took all measures to ensure in all this scenario that citizens are protected? No? well then, you cannot start anything calling it a resistance. What it is, is butchery for Gaza in return for world condemnation. And with THAT, I have a problem. For you ignore individual rights here. Speaking from safety, with your family safe and well, for others, is quite on the nose.
