Great content, as always. The days of employer loyalty is long gone. As a millennial that began getting into the professional corporate realm almost 20 years ago and man oh man did the corporate landscape change drastically, especially the last three years. I’ve never seen it so toxic as it is now.
💯% correct! As a business major I can tell you that the biggest expense of any company is not the product, not even the office, but it's labor (aka employees). That's right, we are a line item on a spreadsheet. Therefore, it's to the company's advantage to disguise the true nature of PIPs, because they don't want you panicked and running out the door before they are ready to fire 🔥 you. PIP is just a fancy term for "write up" (I even worked for a company once that called these "coaching memos"! 🤣🤣). PIP sounds less threatening, but is just as dangerous. So I agree: if you're on a PIP, they've already made up their mind to get rid of you and you won't be changing their mind. It's best to leave on your terms, not theirs. 😉
Just got on a pip after 3 years in company new Indian manager got me lol. Super high speed dude.he ain’t wrong but dang im not that guy they want anymore . Six figure data analyst job too I’m trying to get fired now respectfully 😊

Appreciate your continued support! We've made it through 2008 and 2020, I don't know why it's worse for us now. Really stinks.

Sorry to hear you got on a pip. As long as you welcome the termination and are preparing financially, it may not be too bad. Thank you for sharing.
