@@BlizStudio What is your opinion on this: is it safe to use ai assets in commercial game dev? Some ppl are still mad about it. I, personally, as a game designer with no art skills can't afford to not use them. I think that utilizing them in a harmonious, cohesive way is fine, if the focus is on great gameplay and mechanics.
You can actually help us generate at least hero character sprites for 2d games, containing few consistent images, like idle, walk, run, attack, die etc, it would be great, so after that we can actually use this to implement in our project as many of us have no clue how to create or draw at all
I'll try to make a tutorial for doing that. I'm still exploring layer.ai myself but I'll make this a priority. I have started playing with using for a prototype I'm working on right now.
That was great! I didn't know there was a tool like Midjourney that let you get a bit more creative. And its super simple to use! I've heard and seen some tools that let you take a 2D image, and get 3D models from it. I'd love to see a Part 2 where you take that Dwarf and make him a 3D model!
It based the sprites based off of your text prompt. It also will generate images based off of drawings that you upload or you can draw in your own basic image right on the canvas and then generate. I'll do some more tutorials if it looks like something people would want.
not so far. I need to play with it a little more. So far I've taken a character that I've developed and cut it up in photoshop, put back together in unity to animate.

Ok, this is very cool!
It's pretty amazing the things that AI can do if you are a experienced designer or as a beginner.

There's so much you can do with this. I'm just scratching the surface. Makes so much sense for an indie dev.

Can it generate sprite sheets?

@@BlizStudio wow... How did you do the animation?... You really have to do a TH-cam video about all this😂
Just pushed a new vid covering just that. =)
