- Recorded on the 18th February 1965, it was the one of three songs recorded in the session (With You've Got To Hide Your Love Away and Tell Me What You See also being recorded in the session)
The backing track was amazingly recorded in just a single take! With Ringo adding an overdubbed double tracked vocal and George adding an overdubbed guitar and a solo.
The guitar parts on the recording include:
• A double tracked guitar riff by George Harrison (Most likely played on the Gretsch Tennessean, represented here by the Country Gentleman)
• A long, open rhythm guitar played by John Lennon on either his Fender Strat or his Rick 325
• A short, stabbing rhythm guitar, played by Paul McCartney on his Epiphone Casino
• Finally, an overdubbed guitar solo played by George Harrison most likely on his Fender Strat - เพลง
Well done Luca!
Thank you Lukas! Glad you liked it ;)
Heck yeah! Knocked it out of the park!
Haha thank you Joel! :)
That was great.🥰👍 Highly underrated song. More from With The Beatles please. Like Hold Me Tight, Devil In Her Heart, Money...🙃😜
I'm still convinced this shouldve been Ringo's song on 'Help' smashing cover as always Luca!

Incredible job mate!!! Really enjoy this song due Ringo’s vocals and blues rock sound. You’ve absolutely nailed the playing and tones of all 4 guitar parts and the solo! Really cool too see the Strat, gent and casino all in one video as well!
I was very happy with the overall sound of the video for once haha! Thanks for watching Luke!
Awesome job Luca!
Thank you Sam! I was very happy with final result :)
cool
Thank you very much mate :)
Great job!
Question:
What's up with that strat? I thought that it might be a Squier Sonic blue 40th anniversary, but it has a different neck and pick guard.
It's a Squier 70s Vibe Strat! Hoping to change the body to a more Sonic Blue colour one day :)
Oh very cool!@@LucaColaMusic
one of the gretsches needs to been on the bridge pickup
How did you deduce that? I'd love to hear?
@@LucaColaMusic on the basic track Ringo played drums, Paul played bass, John played the guitar part on the blue strat, and George played the main riff of his gretsch. And then George overdubbed the main riff again. On the original, to me it sounds like one of the Gretschs is louder than the other; and quieter one sounds like it has the typical bite of the bridge pickup, but that is covered up by the overdubbed Gretsch that was in the middle position.
@@hamueramusic I wouldn't really consider it to be hard proof that because the guitar is louder in the mix, it means a specific pickup selection. Personally it isn't much of a big deal to me, it sounds close enough to me lol
@@LucaColaMusic it's not because it's louder in the mix. The quieter gretsch is just definitely bridge pickup, I can literally hear the tonality of the bridge pickup
@@hamueramusic Listen man, it's your opinion. I personally think it sounds just right with both guitars in the Middle Position.
