    Your version is great!! Very relaxing, joyful and sincere!! It makes me smile and feel each note as a part of myself. I'm trying to play it with my recorder over your version. Congratulations and thank you!! Greetings from Gerli, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    Nicely played. Makes me want to dust off my fiddle and play the tune

    Thank you so much for your great tunes! Since I play by ear, I use them as a resource for playing on the hammered dulcimer! My dad is sending me a fiddle too, so hopefully I can learn that!

    Sounds great with the stereo violins!

      Yes, I discovered early on that double tracking two fiddles on a recording is a great way to add an extra kick after the first 32 bars. I try to use two different fiddles, with different tonal qualities and don't worry about mistakes on the second take, as that makes it sound more like two different players at a session.

      @@peakfiddler Very interesting. I'd love to give something like this a try when I get better at the instrument. Thanks for sharing, this is a wonderful tune and it works great with a slow tempo.

    I love this! Would you be able to upload the back round track to play along to? Thank you!

    • @peakfiddler
      @peakfiddler  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sally, I hadn't intended to upload a backing track as they don't seem overly popular. Send me an email and I will dig out the sequencer file and remove the violin and email you an mp3 that you can play along to. My email address is on the ABOUT tab section of this channel.

    when you play it is is, for me normally it sounds like get-away music

    Your first two notes are an “ E” , do you play them as one , sounds like it to me. Love that song, trying to learn.

    • @peakfiddler
      @peakfiddler  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there is a pick up note at the beginnng, which is an open D, then I play the E twice (1st finger position on the D string in this key of D).
      The first E note is held slightly longer than the second much shorter E note.

    Would it be possible to get TEF transcriptions of the great tunes you present?

    • @peakfiddler
      @peakfiddler  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What are TEF transcriptions? Can you please provide a little more information

    • @danbulfin440
      @danbulfin440 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Table edit (TEF) is explained www.mandolincafe.com/tabledit.html . It converts regular music notation into a simple tab format for fiddle and mandolin.

      Hi Dan. I always upload the TAB for each of my tunes in the video notes/description. Here is the link again for the TAB, in case you haven't managed to locate it. TAB:yt3.ggpht.com/sdxjbpjjIi6wOB0d6bL6FRBbqbrM-dYRTjWR5eVw7fjQeAbbnYY1PLnnDa-38ZpN1RlUVaQwA-FAxtk=s1224-nd
