@@peakfiddler Thank you... I have already listened to it... will there be a third '60 minutes Irish Jigs, Reels & Polkas?' I appreciate your information videos as well.
@@margannegoupilbleyzat6612 Hi Marganne, yes I will make third 60 minute compilation of Irish fiddle over the Christmas Holiday, thank you for your interest and encouraging comments, best wishes ,Peak
What an absolutely great set of tunes! I try to listen to your videos when I exercise in the a.m. and this set sure does motivate. Added on another 15 minutes to my routine because of this set. Pretty good for an old lady of almost 76! LOL!
Claire Gillette. Good on ye, dear Ol' Gal -- I'm gettin' up there too, but fiddle music ( and an occasional pint or two) is what keeps me heart and brain a-tickin'. Have a grand day, lovely lady. Bob in Montana.
Wish I had the right words to describe the feeling I get when folk music touches my heart.... These jigs are like prayers to st Marry coaxing over off of her perch to join us lesser mortals in a dance , as mutuals. Its like a beautiful cry to god reaching our hands up to him as a child would its own mum, smiling laughing and inviting ourselves up into her arms.. Its so beautiful... I am a man and I am nit ashamed to say that these songs absolutely sway me to tears. So much life in the instruments they really do take you another place..
And not even 20 minutes, and I'm a-fixin' to do a bit of flat footin'. Hoorah!!! A grand collection of lively old tunes. Cheers, one and all. Always find the time to do the things that make ye happy to be alive. Bob. 😃❤️🍅🍅❤️😃☮️☮️
@@marciah0312 oh yeah, my dear. Life is more wonderful with music like this. I've been working on playing this Dick Gossip on mandolin. As Mr. Peak says , " a crackin' good tune" !! Indeed it is. I've shared it with a couple of fiddler friends, but have yet to get their virdict. (I have mine, tho)
What a great way to start the day! Certainly got me motivated for a pint of Guinness or two when I get home from work. Thanks for the lovely tunes!🎻🎻🎵🎶🍺
Oh man, I was working on the 17th and could not be near any music, so I get home and find this on my TH-cam!! Ah sure, and 'twas was a welcome thing. And at 11:05 here comes the Silver Spire, pretty near my all time favorite reel to hear and play. Thank ye, Mr. Peakfidder. Bobber the swain in Montana
What a superb compilation, my favourites are the hornpipes and the marches which of course are played at a perfect tempo. Lovely harmonies too on the various instruments.
Love the wonderful lively set - thanks very much Peakfiddler. I've been wondering if you'll get the chance to make a video of The Parting Glass? Your videos have inspired me to practice much longer and I'm thankful. And happy spring to you and yours! 🌻🌺🌼🌹
Many of my favourites in here. Cooley's was one of the first reels I ever heard and the first I ever learned. Beautiful tune. Have you ever played the Maudabawn Chapel reel? Would love to hear your rendition of it.
Can anybody in TH-cam land provide a play list of these tunes? I got Star of County Down, Silver Spire, and Dick Gossip, but lacking the titles of the rest. Thanks,. much appreciated. Bob
Your videos are great for practising backup bouzouki! I don't want to make a Patreon commitment, but is there a way to send a one-time appreciation donation? Thanks
Not sure why that is Doranna, but if you have a look in the video description there is a list of titles in playing order. I hope that helps. I can't remember if I segmented this video into chapters or not, I'll take a look and if I haven't done this, I'll have a go at it next week, time permitting.
I have become addicted to your music... I love Irish music and dance. Your music is beautiful 😍
Thank you Marganne, I made a second 60 minute compilation of Irish fiddle music, here is the link:
