I used Truvia sweetener instead of sugar and butter-flavored coconut oil for the dough and fried them in coconut oil instead of vegetable oil because I don't use/have that oil. They ended up really good even without glaze or topping, although I did make chocolate glaze. Hardest part was waiting for the dough to rise.
Honestly you just have to match your energy with the group like if you have a wholesome jackbox round and EVERYONE is being wholesome it's still super fun
