If the church knows a church member win a lottery, and he, she gives 10 of that as tithe, should the church accept it.
I would say yes, accept it, because while it's advisable not to gamble there's no specific violation of Scripture. That is, it violates the spirit of the law but not necessarily the letter of the law.

I agree with the teaching except that we live in different parts of the world and our worldviews are super diverse.
I am in South Africa. The most unequal society in the world. We have people that never had abundance to start with... And now are stuck in mortgages etc and slapped with unemployment with a family.... an extended family actually, to take care of. Is gambling the solution. No. But I will be the last to judge a parent trying to feed their family outside of crime

It's interesting how religions and their advocates preach poverty among the people as the epitome of spirituality, salvation and discipline. Why would your God prefer to see you suffer so that He blesses you. Does money or wealth and riches belong to the world or Satan!

BUT still doesn’t tell where Bible says no 🤨🥴 we went over this in bible class and satisfied with throwing my lot in to bigger lots .. he’s talking about ppl with addictions - who choose vanity over God who want Riches for their own purposes and don’t lean on Christ alone to supply their needs .. yes, those with an addiction should be no where near .. and all sda preachers do is “suppose this happens” or “it may lead to …” but the Bible does NOT in fact discuss lottery but it DOES speak on casting lots (they can be found on any form / lot for land/ lot for leadership / lots for whatever including money can be inferred) - so, if that’s not your thing lottery cool - but I don’t care for people manipulating bible to fit their agenda .. don’t try to make it fit .. yes Jesus wants us to completely rely on him but I’m all about solo scripture

This message is ambiguous, gambling, the stock market, lottery casino gambling etc is of the devil. The Lord doesn't Bless this source of finances. God doesn't give gambling money never.
While I have never gambled in the traditional way - I have fell prey to things like NetTV, Videophones and a couple other “investment” sales ploys. But I know some who gamble but they say it is their entertainment. What do you say to that?
Is investing in the stock market gambling?
Investing is a calculated speculation that a profit will be derived over a specific period of time whereas gambling is based solely on luck and the immediate expectation of financial gain. Also investing is a business transaction whereas gambling is a wager or bet. Therefore the risk of financial lost is much greater for the gambler than the investor.

In both instances there are risks, the investor and gambler are looking for a ROI(Return on investment). Of course investing is more nuanced than what I extracted. Investing in essence, is more socially and perhaps morally accepted.
I feel that it still has the ability to direct one and place it before the Lord.
People watch the stock exchange just as intently as they do the lottery/horse racing, etc.
Lastly, King Solomon 2 Chronicles 1:11, he never asked God for riches, wealth, etc., he asked God for wisdom and knowledge, yet was one of the wealthiest…🕊🙏🏽

How about those people who worked, saved and looked after their families and been fired because the company downsized and end up homeless?
God can change ANY situation. Disobedience will only lead to destruction eventually. Trust God.
Tragedy can strike anyone. Doing what is right is no guarantee that everything will turn out right. That is, life comes with no guarantee that it will meet our expectations. Our obedience to Christian principles shouldn't depend on our prosperity. If that happens all one can do is pick up the pieces, like when a natural disaster comes through and wipes out everyone's livelihood. We have to keep the faith regardless of situation and circumstance.
