technically the only rock genre song on the album is 'lalalala rock ver' the album isn't actually all about the rock genre, it's more about having the energy and confidence of a rockstar!
I was hoping you’d cover this comeback and you did! I had to watch their intro for this new album to better understand LALALALA, it makes more sense now. I feel Stray Kids are finally putting all the pieces together. 5 Star and Rock Star are their most “complete” albums. Where they have a more cohesive group of songs, and I can tell producing has improved.
@@Yetti. ok so LALALALA is about 4 emotions. Anger, happiness, pain/sorrow, and then joy/pleasure (I’m not always certain that CC gets the correct translation). So they go through each of these and end on pleasure. If I recall correctly it’s also a play on words because Rock is the sound for the character for pleasure. But each emotion has a theme in the video: Pirates = anger Clowns = happiness White = sorrow Then the final is pleasure (or rock). The kids kind of represent SKZ on stage. So like they’re scared with stage fright, but happy to be on stage, and they essentially fight off the stage fright (the big monster things) then it ends with the kiddos finding pleasure with performing. Also another detail is that you’ll see the character representing each emotion disappearing throughout the video.
The live stages for LALALALA are so good. I'd recommend their Inkigayo or Music Core performances, expecially the first week ones because they went all out on set design and costuming, and the addition of the fanchant from the 2nd stage on just brought the whole thing to life.
This SKZ comeback is killing me and I'm here for it, as one of my wreckers aka Han ( I tried to keep him on a tight leash but he broke from it lol) has joined my other two biases Felix and Hyunjin (now i have 3) and my wreckers wrecker Lee Know has joined Changbin as a wrecker. I am in love with the pirate\purge theme throughout the MV as its more like they are trying to show people no matter what they wont change as they give people like me hope that we can just be who we are. the lyrics are also amazing as ever as I had ever since the teaser, lalalala la lalalala stuck in my head when I wake up and wen I go to sleep. The beat is also super catchy as its a beat that's the type to get you hyped up and ready for anything. On a side note i love Han wearing the clown mask as I could tell it was him just by looking at his eyes. also I just wanted to say i love the choreo and learning it myself and i also love the rapping and vocals in the song aswell. also i love the rock sound as if it wasnt for kpop i wouldnt be into rock type music at all and talking bout the music i love the drums and the guitars also i love how chaotic but natural it all looks. first things first Han Jisung he completely wrecked me this comeback that's why he is now my third bias in SKZ, also the guys slayed like always, also my other 2 biases Felix and Hyunjin slayed their parts as well, Changbin and Lee Know are wrecking me so much and Innie don't even get me started on him as everyone knows that I have a love/'hate relationship with him (i do love him but sometimes he wrecks me so bad that he is now daddy toast to me and not baby bread anymore) also I love how simple this MV is compared to lalalala la lalalala and another thing i love it when Felix starts the song off by counting in French in his deep voice and I also love the bits when he and Lee Know both say welcome to the stray kids hot megaverse as that one line gets me everytime. also im just super pumped up this comeback more than I have been to others as Stray Kids really found their genre of music and themselves this comeback
Side note: stray kids' most viewed reels on ig this comeback are the ones where minsung are teaching the easy version of LALALALA choreo (28 m views for leeknow and almost 28m for han)

Stray kids is what got me into k-pop. I used to HATE rap until I heard them. Honestly they could do any genre and i’ll eat it up
It's a play on words. The "rock" or "la" they're referencing is the symbol for happiness.
