White Chicken Chili from @MossFamilyKitchen
2 large cans chicken
2 cans chili beans (I use great northern beans)
1 can mild rotel
1 can corn
salt & pepper to taste
1 teaspoon each onion powder & garlic powder
minced garlic
2 packages of McCormick White Chili Chicken seasoning
1 carton chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken
1 block cream cheese
Mix all ingredients in a large pot and cook over medium/high heat until warmed through and cream cheese is melted in. Serve with toppings of your choice!

He retired this spring from our local utilities company with 32 years service 🎉👍🏼So technically he's retired and I've got this awesome new business sharing recipes and he's helping me 😊 But we are enjoying the "work" we do so now and it's lots easier on him than climbing electric poles 🤣😉 and I do love taco soup but my second favorite would have to be lasagna soup! It's fairly new to me, I just found it last year but we LOVE it!

When I find Ground beef or Chicken on sale I purchase as much as I can without busting the budget. I bring it home snd immediately brown the ground beef or put the chicken in my crockpot. I season the ground beef always with salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder and a couple diced onions. Anything i cook with ground beef I always use those ingredients. I freeze this in quart freezer bags in meal size portions. For us, i freeze in 1 lb portions. I do the same with chicken. I just season with salt and pepper. I freeze it in 2 to 3 cup portions. With both of these items I have about 30 meals that I can throw together in 20 to 30 minutes with the precook protien already cooked.

Please pray for my best friend and her husband. He had a heart attack on Friday night and wasn’t breathing for around 30 minutes while they worked on him. The reports today have not been hopeful and it’s just breaking our hearts. She just lost her dad at the start of this month, an aunt this week and she is just so devastated right now. They have been together since we were teenagers and will be married 39 years in December. God is faithful and He is still able to do more than we can even imagine.

Our favorite soup is Buffalo chicken soup. I use the recipe from Salt and Lavender. Google it. You can control how hot you like it with the hot sauce. I don’t like spicy. We love blue cheese so I add a lot of crumbles but that’s completely up to you.

The best cheese cornbread is as follows- it’s from TH-camr bdylanhollis
3 large eggs 3 large eggs
2 boxes Jiffy Cornbread mix, unsweet 2 boxes Jiffy Cornbread mix, unsweet
1 (15 oz) jar Cheez Whiz heated in microwave to pourable stage
Mix, pour in dish and bake till done. It’s amazing

Mel, I made the creamy cajun chicken soup and it was delicious! This is a keeper for me. I used cajun seasoning and it was great. A little spicy hot, but not too much. Thank you for such a good recipe.

I made the chicken bacon ranch soup last night and it was absolutely wonderful! I normally try to always follow the recipe especially on the first try, but this time I needed to cook the chicken and wanted to see if I could adapt this to the crockpot. I just cooked Two chicken breasts with a tiny bit of chicken broth for about three hours on low. I also seasoned it with onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, And about a tablespoon of ranch seasoning. I cooked the bacon and the onions and garlic in a skillet and made the roux as the recipe instructed. Then I poured everything over the chicken breasts in the crockpot. Turned it up to high, and added the cream cheese & spinach. I cooked my noodles on the side, then added them when the soup was finished. I haven’t decided which is going to be the next soup in the list that I try, but it will be good I’m sure😊

I didn't see the link to your Dad's cornbread recipe. If his is old-school, I'd love to try it. I was raised in SE TN, and grew up cooking with my grandmother. We never measured anything, but the biscuits and cornbread were always the same. (I left home at 18, and didn't return to carry on her recipes as an adult.) I can make the biscuits, but can't master the cornbread. I don't like sugar in my cornbread. I have plenty of cast iron skillets. I do recall that my grandmother always cooked with lard. I wonder if that makes a difference. We used self-rising cornmeal, with a little self rising flour, melted lard, eggs, and buttermilk to make the cornbread. I use the Jiffy mix because my husband likes it. It's not too bad, though it's a little sweet.

All of these look delicious. When I make soups with cream cheese and heavy cream, I take about a cup of the warm broth from the soup and add that and the cream and cream cheese to a blender cup and blend until smooth then pour into the soup. Makes a smooth and velvety sauce instead of dealing with the lumps of cream cheese. Definitely worth messing up a couple more dishes 😊

I perfer to use a crock pot that has a sear mode in it and when cooking is done it will switch over to warm. Personally, I brown all my proteins, like beef, chicken and pork for any recipe.
Please don't think that I'm trying to sell you an Instant pot but I remember you saying that if your Crockpot died you would maybe get a programable one. An instant pot has aslow cooker function which is set it and forget it. I also great for cooking dried beans in a fraction of the time.

Walmart has the Martha white buttermilk corn bread mix. Are you using that in place of the food city cornmeal mix

I wish you would take a lesson from Catherine's Plates play book...she is starting to put the names of the recipes in the thumbnail when cooking multiple recipes in one video. I can't tell you how many times I have been looking for a specific recipe, and it is buried within a video with multiple recipes. I usually give up and go to a different TH-camr's videos..just a thought..

Drives me nuts! Tortillas are a type of bread not a shell. You can fill them with something or not. Alot from the South say oh tortilla shells. It's not a shell it's a type of bread.
