Brother! You adding the mic setting on every clip was the best thing ive seen someone do! Thank you so much for the help!

I’ve been using this for all my videos as well. I use it for my hiking videos, interviews, meetings / call, and gaming as well. Such a versatile option.
The new ride videomic GO 2 that just released actually takes the same form factor and features as the NTG but at a smaller size and more affordable price point. That might be a good one to consider for those who have less of a budget and wants an even smaller package!

You’ve convinced me 😂 My Deity D3 Pro just broke and I was trying to decide between the VideoMic NTG and the MKE600. Choice made, going with the RODE.

Haha love it! I have both and recommend the same! I use the videomic ntg and mke600 for a variety of things, but you can’t go wrong with the ntg

hey love the video how did you get rid of the background noice and hiss... that's all I ever get out of my ntg even after all the firmware updates

Awesome review man! Definitely gonna snag the NTG while it’s a bit cheaper!

Bro… why even mess with the camera audio? ALWAYS set camera to 1..or at its lowest & use the mic gain dial.. However.. this is a GREAT video, an actual demo & situational listen to this mic.

Thanks for sharing, should the external Mike settings in camera be set to -db and just do all the settings on the NTG. Thanks.

What plugins and how did u edit it? Because this sounds better than other reviews. In other reviews it sounds loud and rough and not clean and smooth

I do some minor EQ work + adding a multi and compressor, I’ll be going over that in a video down the road!
I had no effects on it for the testing though, that was all straight out of camera

How did you get it to stay in the mic holder on the Sony receiver!

use a little rubber spacer for these sony mounts! You can find em on amazon- I think I have it linked in the description too
