Living in North America, being a big fan of Anouar Brahem, and having set as a goal to one day see music in the Herodes Atticus Odeon, in a city which I love...I regret not having been able to attend this performance-it happened just as we were all emerging from the shroud of Covid, wondering...is it safe to travel again, do I have the proper certificates, etc.? In any case, Fate...(!)...it happens. It must have been a marvelous experience for all who were there. Thank you for posting this.
Fantastic playing! Anyone know the name of their last song played in Budapest recently? I believe it was in hijaz and there was a short chromatic passage at the end of phrases. Beautiful song.
