It depends. If the nerve has been severed, it is unlikely. However, if it is still intact, it can heal, but it can take a long time (i.e., sometimes up to years).

Bones take 6-8 weeks to heal. The 6-week mark is when you usually can remove ethe splint, but the next 2 weeks will be critical for continued healing.
