Thank you , last week my third finger was smashed by a heavy object . The injury was very heavy and the doctors had to saw it. I am very afraid to see my finger after each bandage and I worry if the wound will heal at all. Can you give me any advice on recovery ?

Its very strange that a litle part of a bone can take so long to heal 6-9 months ..there are worse injuries and heals quicker.

I just realized the “lump” on my finger is a piece of bone? my finger hyperextends but i have no pain and good range of motion. it does jerk into place sometimes but I wonder how long ago this happened 😂

Can anyone comment on their recovery with a fracture and trauma to the nail bed.

My 4th and 5th finger have been stuck to the palm of my hand since 2013. My 4th has severe boutineer deformity ( so not sure if I spelled that right) AND my 5th has a swan neck deformity. As of a few months ago, my hand now is starting to buckle in half. It's not painful. Still have not had a full diagnosis or reason behind it. I went and saw a hand surgeon, but that was a nightmare. She ripped my two fingers up away from my palm, causing horrible pain and worse damage. She didn't even give me any warning she was going to do so. Now I'm scared to see anyone else about it. So I just feel with life's adventures. Lol
