- In an interview with FRANCE 24 on tensions in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia's foreign minister said his country was "concerned" about a regional war. Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said he feared that "the longer the conflict in Gaza goes on, the more danger there is for miscalculation, the more danger there is for escalation". But the top Saudi diplomat also sounded a note of optimism, saying "I don't believe that the Iranians want a broader war".

I like this FM. He speaks plainly and does not double speak the way so many diplomats do.
Saudi politicians have always been the wisest and most fulfilling of promises in the region and even the world, no matter how hard the Western media tries to demonize them.
Well, he doesn't have to answer to populist voters.
Absolutely right. He is well read and honest too.
@@nasseralzeer9935 For me they are all snakes...capable of cutting a journalist into pieces and get away with it...

Because you are used to the stupidity of Biden and his ministers 😂
He is very direct as usual. I love the way he speak
Yemen is fighting for a ceasefire and stopping the genocide. Other nation should follow them.
You are right. America must stop its terrorism against Yemen and follow what Saudi Arabia did in terms of peace with the Houthis 😉

What i understood from this interview is Saudi has no clear stance on Palestinian issue i sense an undertone of fear in his voice.i don't understand what their fear is but clearly there are not free in their way of thinking
were you watching the same interview? he was very clear. there must be a palestinian state for any normalisation deal with Israel.
They can’t face America alone Israel is America America is Israel
@@user-yq7ow6dc8n You are US allies.
They "fear" those countries who is unconditionally backing Israel and it would do more harm than good helping Palestinians, only thing they are "allowed" to do to a certain extent is giving humanitarian aid.
@@soulsmouls America is our ally, like China and Russia. But our alliance with China did not prevent us from partnering with India, nor in condemning Russia in Ukraine, nor in making Biden come on his knees to beg for oil and then he was rejected. We always ally with what is right and we’re not a follower country.
This conflict underscores the reality that violence seldom leads towards resolution, instead oftentimes exacerbating the underlying disputes.
Excellent interview. The Saudi Foreign minister is well read and honest repeatedly telling about the origin of the Palestinian State.
The Saudi foreign minister tells the truth and reflects the Kingdom's view on such and similar matters.
He Saudi foreign minister is a knowable man, with logical views. But if we beat the drum of Palestinian State, we should recall the past. Our memory may fade away with the passage of time. But since 1994, two state solution materialized and Palestine’s flag has raised everywhere. The State of Palestine has been recognized by 139 member states at the United Nations. Palestinian embassies were opened, Palestinian currency was established, new president was elected and foreign aid and donation were flown to Palestine. UN agencies spent nearly $6 billion in Gaza and tens of billions in West Bank in their useless projects. But Palestine divided into two parts as a disconnected society in limbo. Palestinian per capita has never been over $3000 per year. Palestinians are generally radicalized and brainwashed by Hamas, Islamic Jihad, UN agencies and the Iranian mullahs. What is the point of having a new Palestinian leadership and Palestinian government if Palestinian is a failed state for decades?
Saudi believes wholeheartedly that it's through these real-life examples of empathy, rather than through blame and antagonism, that they can move towards a more peaceful world.
the Saudi FM is perspicacious as ever 👍
nice word choice

While Yemen fight for Palestine. Saudi and Qatar can enjoy their talks with the west
So what should Saudi and Qatar do?
SAUDI is doing well in choosing diplomacy and means of negotiation. Note that SAUDI is not a major military nation.
If they did nothing then by now we would have had way more Palestinian deaths. The fact that the arab world is involved is holding usa.and the satanic state of isreal back. Saudi is highly influential and being a.brics nation it has its place but they have to be diplomatic..something's are are achieved diplomatically as well.as.military of which arab nations are.not very well equipped as far as my basic knowledge knows

Iran does not want war, neither with neighbors nor with other countries. Iran seeks justice and aims to show other nations in the government that the only solution to cease wars is independence and unity. One should not let themselves be manipulated by Western politics and media
An excellent discussion by the foreign minister
Did this situation started on the October 7th as Farhan address it?
Its called Al Aqsa Floods, so yeah at the 7th of October.
However, the illegal occupation was said since 67. And the terrorism since 48 when they stole lands and massacerts the Palestinians.
@@asmaali7238 a thief will never be the owner, it doesn't matter how long it takes Palestine will be free from the river to the sea
And how did the Arabs acquire it? Through imperial conquest and colonization starting in the 7th century.

Because Saudi is not a member at the ICJ

Walk your talk Sir
I appreciate the explanation of the Saudi foreign minister, both for his excellent level of articulation and for the information and detail he provided through the content of his communication, however it was notable that he failed to mention Hamas by their name.
This is a trend that I've seen with pro-Palestinian figures, and it only serves to damage their credibility.
On the same token, those who are pro-Israel must denounce Netanyahu and his far-right cabinet as they are showing a gross disregard for civilian safety in their pursuit of the elimination of Hamas, and, with all due respect to the Palestinian community and their basic human rights, this approach from Israel is a stain on the broader international community, to say the least.
Iran wants an alliance with the Saudis. They proved there’s no divide with Sunni and Shia Irans helping Palestinians whom are Sunni majority.
The cia and the west are trying to manufacture this divide and some Saudi leaders are falling for it
