- Ep 30 : After she flees the anniversary event hall, Jisu wonders about aimlessly and heads to Taesu’s house eventually. Chairman Noh, furious about Jisu’s sudden obstruction, orders to bring Jisu back and browbeats her. Jiho takes Seohyun out for fried chicken and beer to console her after she performs at the graduation recital by herself without her family in the presence. As he has his mind set on, Dogyeong goes to Sora’s mother to call off the wedding. Chairman Noh hears the news and relegates Dogyeong to the Europe branch.

Wat kind of mother is she? She never for once thought of her own daughter jian but she is always worried for jisu
Jian's elder brother pisses me off anytime I see him. I love how his father scolded him and moving out so that he can live as he want. I applaud Jian's dad for holding up for awhile and not divorcing his wife early stage. he loved his wife and children so much. so bad none understand and appreciate his effort. Is quite heartbreaking

Eldest son Jitae is such an ungrateful son, has twisted reasoning and I'll-mannered. I get it that In Korean culture embarrassing your father in front of your wife is not acceptable behavior. Dad, go for it, resign as their father and live your own life. Everyone in your family has disrespected or abandoned you anyway.
I like that the dad finally says what he feels. His hurt and pain is expressed. And he stops trying to live for people who dont even appreciate him
Lesson learned from this episode: skills is important to make it a source of income rather working in a company .

Finally, Jisu experienced the hell Jian has been going through that house. It's actually worst for Jian, imagine her pretending to be one of them when she knew she's not? She was so terrified.
Then Jian shouldn't have pretended, it was that simple. Jian's problem was of her own making. And Jisoo wouldn't have had to dress up as Jian if Jian didn't take her RIGHTFUL place to begin with.

I like how the settings changed for jisu and jian. I noticed from earlier episodes, jisu has yellow while jian has blue environment. Now it switched, i think it creates certain atmosphere.

Jian has been thru hardships...I hope that she will be happy. I want Hyeok to be on her side. He is a very supporting friend. Can they be together as a couple as well. I really hate the second lead syndrome in any kdrama. Please make the characters happy. Jisu is experiencing what Jian have experienced while in that big house. The family seems not to care about emotional thing but rather focusing o their money, fame and position.
Just asking - Is this a realistic representation of families in South Korea: children who are already in there late 20s and even in their 30s are still under the control of their parents?

Dogyeong wants to live a life of normalcy good for him finally standing his ground to Choi Family and doing what he feels is best for him. Choi Family will never accept Jian and deep down Dogyeong knows that. Stepping away from the rich lavish lifestyle and Haeseong company was the right thing to do, there are too many strict rules & arrogant attitude due to social class. Being rich isn't all that anyway, only sounds good on paper but actually living it is another story entirely. We should never allow money to change our values and who we are as people if there is no good intentions.
Poor side have it downfall also. Look what is happening that family. all broken apart because of no money . Nobody want to stay home and father gone nuts so. My points are no social class immune of problems in all life
queenmonkeyhead I think why the poor family draft apart was they were once rich and have not come to term with their poor status yet cos if they have, they would have accepted their condition wholeheartedly and don't portion blames but be contented with anything they have and be happy family.
So well stated - the impression given about rich people is that they have a sense of entitlement, superiority complex, righteousness and devoid of a sense of empathy, sympathy and reality. They come across as cruel, arrogant and heartless - people I loathe - especially in most Asian dramas. They would not hesitate to destroy someone/family's livelihood.

All they care about is their reputation and looking "classy" but can't even be bothered to show affection and love to their children. The father is the only one with an ounce of compassion in him.

To be honest, personally I like watching dramas that do not have to much of scheming and wicked characters (eg Sweet Enemy and Penthouse even though these dramas are good too - but when I watched them, I skipped those parts). This drama is one that suits my preference. It's about family values and virtues such as obedience, respect, understanding and able to put yourself in another's shoes...) and relationship twists.

that argument/conversation between Jitae and the dad was SO realistic, this is how messed up and tangled family relationship gets. You're arguing about this but really the issue is about that. Sometimes it's too messy that noone even knows theres a deeper issue. But when one side does know, that's helpful, that's a step forward. But it can be tricky for things to be fixed if the other side doesn't see or refuses to see... :(( I think that's what often happens...

If a person think short rather than analyse the situation, i'd say the father should just die. But he cant since this is just an act. But if think analyse the situation, the father living in depression state of mind, that is so bad, he needs Jian to come back, but she just doesnt giving a crap about her family anymore, as for this episode.
