- Here is my unboxing and first look of the NEW ProBoat Sonicwake 36 V2 (PRB08032V2T2) 36" self righting BL Deep-V RTR. I also compare it to the original V1 in this video, and compare the black and white V2 versions side by side. As a bonus at the end of the end of the video I have a couple of teaser clips of both boats running. GPS speed runs coming will be released soon, so stay tuned. Also, I want to give a big shout out to Horizon Hobby for sending me this boat out to test. Check out more running videos my channel that will be released in the coming days/hours. More Specs below:
Serious Speed
The Sonicwake V2 36-inch Self-Righting Deep-V features a ballistic 4-pole Spektrum FIRMA 2000KV water-cooled brushless motor capable of propelling the boat to speeds in excess of 55 MPH.
Extreme Power from Waterproof Electronics
The Sonicwake V2 uses the new Spektrum 120a marine ESC that can handle more amperage than needed to run the boat with authority and speed.
Self-righting Hull Design
Designed to be as stable as possible with a self-righting feature if you ever flip it. Unlike other boats, the self-right feature does not require power to work. Give it a few seconds and the flood chamber will fill with water, making the boat self-right. Hit the throttle and the water exits the flood chamber as the boat moves forward.
Upgraded Hardware
Now with larger turn fins, Adjustable trim tabs, and larger propeller strut. Fine tuning your boat has never been easier.
SLT Radio System
The SLT3 is included with the all new Dual Protocol receiver. This system allows you to upgrade to the radio of your choice, without the need to purchase a separate receiver.
Dual Water Pickup
Keeping your electronics cool is a priority and we have increased the water flow by adding a dual water rudder pickup. This added water flow will make sure cool clean water is being sent to both the ESC and Motor keeping your temps in check.
Clean Interior
Keep your boat looking good, with this all new interior keeping your boat clean is easier than ever. We have integrated a grease catch to prevent any marine grease from spreading inside your boat while operating. Cooling line clips keep your water system where it should be while optimizing the waterflow to the critical components that need to be water cooled.

No problem 👍
That went fast! Great video again! Thanks for sharing 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! I'll release some fast passes soon.
my old impulse v3 had a 40mm motor loved that boat surprised they went with a smaller motor for the sonicwake v1
i HAD THE im 31 v3 as well Loved that beanie weenie can size motor in it Lol!
Yessssir! Nice comparison to the v1, and daaamn both of the color ways Ooookay 💪🏾💯
Thanks Bro! Appreciate that!
Yessssssiirr. Another great video from MY RC boat expert. 💯💯💯💯
Thanks Big Bro!
Great compare video @MrMad2424 ! Awesome thanks! Im sold. V2 on order, Im thinking!!👍🏻
Thanks!
I love the white scheme
White looks real good imo.
Nice job mate👌👍
Thanks!
Awesome vid. I would get he black if I get one but the white might be better to see. Looks like a well built boat. Great video and information. Looking forward to your speed run vid. 💪🏾🔥👊🏾💯
Thanks Bro! I think I like the black better. Speed passes are loaded and will be released soon.
@@MrMad2424 awesome bruh. What are sone upgrades that you tour make to them. ?
I have an octura 447 prop. Any thoughts on what it will do with this boat. It will be here Fri.
Congrats on the NEW boat! I'm not sure, I haven't tried the 447 on this boat. It should be good. Check temps though for sure until you see what it's gonna do with it.
I’m trying to build a trailer for the SonicWake I’m ordering. What’s the width of this boat?
nice! It's 11inches wide
Black definitely
It looks good. Thanks for watching!
@@MrMad2424 unfortunately I already have v1 that I upgraded
TBH, I think the black one looks slightly better, but I'm probably going to buy the white one because I think it'll be easier to see on the lake when the sun starts to set.
The white one looks great as well.
@@MrMad2424 For sure. Like I said, the black one looks sliiigghtly better
wow, awesome boats and nice runs brother, tell them to send me one....lol
Yes sir! Thanks Bro!
@@MrMad2424 😁✌👍
I prefer the Black color. For the dual pickup, is there one hose for the ESC and one hose for the Motor? Both boats seemed really smooth. Maybe with the larger engine, the V2 doesn't Redline and become frantic like the original 🤔? I have no idea. I have just seen a lot of videos where if they went over half throttle the boat became spastic. Thanks!
Yes , a single line to each the motor and the esc separate. The trim tabs help this boat tremendously. I agree the V1 could get unstable all the sudden.
🙀it is so 💨 fast!!!!!!!
Thanks!
I've always wondered if these are ok to play in seawater
Just have to rinse them off after. thats it.
Hey bud, thanks for your videos! What is the battery size for this V2? Is it one 6s or 2 3s in a series? What size MAH gives you best balance? I would appreciate your tips, as this is my first boat, I normally fly jets.
You can use both 2x3s or 1 6s. You will need a jumper wire for the ic5 plug that's not used if you use 1-6s though. I like 5-6,000mAh packs.
Great video. Does the V2 provide battery telemetry to the transmitter?
Thanks! It will if it's used with a DXE 3 or 5 radio. The factory radio don't show battery status on this one because of the global chip shortage they had to substitute the dx3 radio for the slt3.
@MrMad2424 Thanks for the info. I assume that either of the upgraded transmitters will bind with the boat's ESC?
@@michaeledmonds3027 Yes, They will bind with the factory receiver that comes with the boat.
I know the hull is the same but what about the material same ABS ??
Yes same material.
They should have named it the remastered sonic wake and said sorry we didn't get it right the 1st time.
Everything gets better on later versions.
Would have been nice if it had that battery level on the radio
The global chip shortage caused them to release it with a different radio.
@@MrMad2424 lame 😒
@@onemansvideos2134 lame but the truth. Everything is compatible with temps, rpm, battery levels but don't have the radio.
@@MrMad2424 so just need a radio ok awesome
@@onemansvideos2134 Yes that's it.
All great except that 120a ESC
Thanks!
hi, i have a question about the sonicwake. why is there a 120a esc in it while there is a 140a motor in it?
I didn't develop the boat. But If it is a 140 amp motor that doesn't matter as long as its propped down enough to pull under 120amps.
@@MrMad2424 thx!! but does this mean that if I put a 150a esc or higher in it then I only use the full potential of the motor. PS because your boat was a🚀
@@koenvliegenthart1575 Thanks! That means you can prop up to use the full potential of the electronics. If you use a higher amp esc.
whats your top speed?
better then the traxxas vhull?
Way better than the Traxxas. 80mph is my fastest with it. th-cam.com/video/hvVYL8AOqXg/w-d-xo.html
which looks better on water?
I like the black one on the water. I know its black but the graphics are bright red and orange. The white one can be seen better at a distance.
Plastic hull? Right?
Yes, The strong and thick ABS plastic like the V1
