My wife and I have been looking after a wonderful Frenchie on and off for 6 months. Usually in 12-18 days intervals. He was so comfortable with us and we bonded from the first minute. The immense love we got from the little rascal captured our hearts. Sadly he and his owner have moved abroad so we're now in touch with a well-established Frenchie kennel here in Sweden and we can't wait to welcome our soon-to-be family member. We have a lot of love and playtime waiting for him. Frenchies are indeed an amazing breed!
One thing not mentioned .... these guys/girls can REALLY talk up a storm. As in, super expressive verbally. It's hilarious at times, and they actually like to "dialog", but they can also give you a MAJOR ear full when they're pissed. When they're "angered" enough, they simply won't listen to you until later when they cool off. (Kinda like me .... hmmm ....)
Yes huge misconception that our little bat dogs don’t like exercise because they can be quite a little buggers not to mention when they get a case of the zoomies lol 😝
Mine won’t jump anything recently (not high) without help . Some times does when I turn my back though think she might of hurt self bit when running round loves the zoomies
Frenchies were bred to be social companion..medium to small size. So they could go nearly anywhere & live in small homes. They are family members & don't like to miss out on anything. Just like your 2 legged kids. I've had the bred for thirty years. I wouldn't live without them. They are my heart & soul ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊
My frenchie is now 10 years old and we walk on average 8-10km each day in the beautiful fields, paths & woods where we live in Wales, UK. I do not overfeed her and she loves being outside. Not lazy at all in my book but she enjoys napping. I give her good quality foods and strictly limit the variety of type or brands. I also have trained her to drink simply by reminding her to and making sure she always has easy access to fresh water. She is fabulous company and has stuck with me through thick & thin. I praise her a lot but I also apply tough love with clear, consistent boundaries and we get along very well. I think it helps that I see her as a four legged friend rather than simply a pet. When it is hot we stick to the shade and she paddles in our local river to cool down. In cold weather, when the roads have been salted against ice,I put booties on her otherwise she gets very sore front paws, the booties eliminate this in my experience. Great dog, improves my quality of life every day, natural comedienne, loyal friend, possibly even a life saver?
My Isabella frenchie is VERY ACTIVE and needs his energy burned with daily walks. I swear out frenchie is an extreme sports athlete in his past life. He has tin of courage and very athletic for his breed
My frenchy is very active loves to play fech, during walks he acts like a sled dog,lol..very jealous and protective of me,hes also hard headed, very stubborn, sneaky and clingy, frustrating at times but i must say i love this lil guy..ps this guy is built like a tank, very hard and solid😂😂
I did a lot of research and found the while the Frenchies are adorable, they cost too much to get & maintain health wise due to over inbreeding. I found the perfect solution: the AMERICAN BULLDOG, extremely cute, very smart, long lifespan, affordable, and best of all a great guard dog... If you want a five star dog, this is it.
We have had five and yes they are expensive to purchase BUT we have not had any big issues with health. We take them for checkups, feed them a balanced diet and we don’t need a guard at the house, we have guns LOL, so their love is all we ask for in return and they provide a bounty of it. Very sweet pups for sure…and quite playful.
Yes, American Bulldogs are great. I had to the two beautiful boys unfortunately one past away 8 and the other 9 so don’t believe everything you read about how American Bulldogs live long lives one of mine was in and out of the vet getting surgery on tumours in his eyes from 5 years old
It’s perfectly acceptable to say bah to stop a behavior. They learn it fast and don’t like to hear it. Because they want to please you. Best advice I ever received. My frenchie is a service dog!
Thank you for the insight. I have 2 one blue and one brindle both boys. Reviewing this video definitely help me realized that my younger frenchie which is now 3 has been calming down. My senior frenchie whose now 5 is so stubborn its become laughable. No harm but he moves on demand of the treats or walks.
My Frenchie LOVES his walks. He also loves his yard; where he is laying in wait for his next walk. 😂 Why would you say they “don’t mind being left alone”? Mine wails like a beaten child if I leave him to walk to the mailbox! 🙆♀️
Yes they are so energetic, running and playing like its their last move 😂 love it! Do you have any requests of video for this channel? Thank you for your comment!
The French Bulldog was made popular by the French. The crosses between British Bulldogs and Pugs and maybe out crosses to other breeds. However the breed was born and they are wonderful dogs. They aren’t lazy and have no fear of anything ( their ancestral Bulldogs) I prefer the original brindle ~ white and normal colors. The tri colors or Merle are recent crosses to obtain the rare colors. The long hair is an outcross that recently happened and people try to lie and claim if the genes are present they come out long hair. No they don’t unless you breed the ones that are outcross of course they are going to have mutt genes hence outcrossing. I prefer the original and the longer should be considered a different kind of dog it’s obviously a high end mutt. Brindle Buck skin pie colors white are my favorites. Blue was rare and far and wide today they breed for popularity which is why you see all these colors that are not normal ( they obviously crossed out to dogs that had the desired color) I would never buy any exotic or long hair frenchie because they aren’t real frenchies their a total different breed. I prefer the original colors and I don’t trust anyone who sells the fancy what’s in style overpriced animals.

I will be picking mine up on June 26 and I am absolutely losing my mind with excitement. However, I have read tons of comments about how hard they are to potty train!! I'm hoping because I will be home with her all day that it won't be as hard as everyone says
My little girl Cookie loves her 3/4 mile walk 3 x a day, rain shine or snow. But unlike other Frenchies she has never found her voice and never tries to talk.
French Bulldogs are plagued by spinal issues and many end up in wheel chairs. I volunteer in a brachy dog rescue. We get surrendered French Bulldogs almost daily. It’s important to understand how their needs may change as they age.
I have a Frenchie rescue. He’s a 30 lbs of solid muscle. His food is lamb rice combo that will keep the gas down. They’re great dogs but definitely do your research before getting one. And remember it’s a bull dog so the dog won’t be easy to train. Very hard headed lol
They are the best. Very loyal lovable. I list my frenchie 2 years ago. He was my friend and companion love to take rides in my car, sleeper on my couch while I watched football 😮and other tv shows
I love this breed cuz they are so much and have great personality and are great with kids too my youngest daughter really wants one so badly so I'm thinking about getting one for her one for Christmas as her present this year
Thanks for the redux of Isa & Hugo (and Tom) from Slovenia. I always enjoy them, but they seem to have stopped making videos in recent months. If you do a sequel, be sure to peruse The Griffen Frenchies channel from South Korea, who are always entertaining.
Find a breeder that is done with one of their females. Good breeders will only let the females have 4 or 5 litters. I have been told they sell for around 500.00.

you wouldn’t understand. don’t get one then, they aren’t for you. they are such special little souls you sound like a colossal douche, you don’t deserve a frenchie, most likely v can’t afford one either
Hmm, I have one and I tell you without a doubt they are definitely a treat to share your life with. Any dog can have health issues or emotional problems. Those are simply part of the experience. As for offer protection, I would pity anyone who tried to try to enter my home without my permission. Milo would very quickly dissuade them. Have you ever actually seen the size of a French bulldog's mouth, when open?
They are so adorable & I found out long ago with my first Boston Terrier that rewards & praise with good girl or boy works best when they do what you them to instead of scolding & punishing when they misbehave, however if too severe I would give them a time out in their crate which didn’t cause distress but got message of gets treat or time out ( if they tore something up or potty on floor ) anything else wasn’t that important. Dogs are smart sensitive furry little people so treat them like a child, it works really well. I never had a Frenchie but would love to, I would spoil it rotten, all my dogs are spoiled rotten, I’ve had lots over the years, big & small. ❤️🐶💙🐕💜🐾🩷😊

French bulldogs are great. I love them.

Frenchies are a blast to own but some of this information is not quite right. First every dog likes to walk button running. These are not dog park dogs. They have to be protected against themselves. They should not do stairs or even jump up onto furniture because most suffer IVDD nd could hurt their back with one jump. The result is usually 3 months of crate rest or very expensive surgery. Their diets are difficult to nail down because many do have allergies to most proteins so the right food usually is dictated by finding a protein that are OK with. In our case we have to feed rabbit but it can get even more exotic and costly if they have to have rare foods like kangaroo. Another thing Frenchy breeder don't tell is that they are brought with problems.
