It's song about life. When we were kid, we had no tension, we were with our mother, playing chilling. When we grow older life becomes difficult. There is a story of Behula Lakkhinder. Which is the ceiling beating song. Read about Behula Lakkhinder, it's a beautiful Hindu Ancient story.
I am From India I understand little bit Bengali but why I don't know Bangladeshi Bengali is more hard to understand as compair of West Bengal's Bengali. Do you use other Dialect of Bengali in Bangladesh? I feel it with most of the Coke Studio Bangla songs. It is Different Bengali than the Indian one.
@@Indiaisgreat2005 It's not actually Bangladeshi real Bengali...It's Bangladeshi local language. It's spoken in dhaka mainly ( old bangla). As a Bangladeshi iam also don't understand all word.
Those singing ladies beating a roof with flat sticks are showing actually an old technique to solidify clayey/lime materials on the roof to make it water-tight (water proofing). That beat is incorporated in this music. This is another aspect of this beautiful creation.
I think it is fair to say, what I love about Bangladeshi music is that it has so many layers which incorporates a lot of deep rooted village folk music alongside modern musical sounds so that it caters for the older generation of Bengali folks who are traditionalist and grew up listening to folk songs and for the younger generation of Bengali folks who enjoy modern music so that way just by virtue of this, it brings the two generations together. Coke Studio Bangla also invites and welcomes non Bangladeshis who simply love the language of music and are open minded such as yourself to appreciate the efforts of Coke Studio Bangla and their diverse use of amalgamating different musical sounds and concepts together. Description of the song and subtitles are available on this track. Thank you for your lovely reaction, I love that you are so open minded to different cultural music so again thank you for showing love ❤️
Best reaction so far I have seen for this song. I really liked the two of you dancing with the song. That means you guys liked the music. Thank you so much😍🙏
My thoughts on my first video of you guys: She's so pretty and you can tell how much effort she puts into paying attention to every part and respecting the culture. The guy also seems like such a simple, sweet soul! You guys are so much fun and I really see glimpses of your own playful culture at play when you dance and enjoy:)
It's the oldest folk song of Bangladesh. But the blend of music (folk+rap+modern) makes a difference in listening. Thanks a lot for reviewing this song.
Bangla language and music is poetic ! As seen from all ur reaction to coke studio bangla! 🎙 I am khalil a regular viewer of ur channel!❤❤ keep it up by the way my grandad named me the great lebanon's poet khalil gibran! As was his favourite poet! Greetings 🇬🇧 🙏 uk .
What a beautiful explanation and I am impressed you guys understood the meaning so well ❤❤❤ Begin a Bangladeshi I am not good as you and learned little more from your reaction about the song. Thank you ❤
Love from Bangladesh.. I never see your reaction vdo.. This is the first time.. I have seen u... So good. I also have subscribed your channel... Keep going ahead ❤😊
It's a folk song with a twist, all Bengali folk songs are pretty much poetry. So it's cycle of life from birth, struggles, challenges until your demise.
If you have not found out already, the two lead singers 1) Arif Dewan (elder singer with Violin) and 2) Sagor Dewan (green dress) are brothers. The song was originally written by their grandfather, Khaleque Dewan. The original lyrics comes with some life questions and the rapper Aly Hasan responds to those questions in a canny way. But to be honest, as the song is of folk genre, the word to word translation takes aware some inner meanings, which a native Bangla/Bengoli speaker will only understand. Younger generation may still find it difficult to make sense of some meanings though. As many metaphorical terms are used in folk songs.
You have to remember, Bangladesh is a riverine country with 60 major rivers. So a lot of our lifes idioms, poems, philosophy, teachings, use rivers and water as metaphors for life. Happy that it translated to a degree 🙂
Excellent guys you are truly music lovers, not many Bengali people I bet realise the meaning of this song like you did ❤❤🎉🎉❤❤. Respect to you both for your respecting good songs from other countries. Everyone needs to take your example, world will be a much better place. ❤❤❤ love you guys ❤❤❤❤
You got it guys!! This is such a beautiful lyrics praising mother. Though its not pure Bangla language, its a folk dialect which comes from a certain district of Bangladesh, called Mymensingh. In this dialect: Maa (mum), Jhhi (daughter), (Boin) sister. He's praising women as well in this Bangla folk. Love it!❤ Thanks for your reviews on it. xx
Damn. Even some Bengali reactors failed to understand the depth and meaning. You guys described it almost perfectly.
