    Thanks for the video! I was wondering how well a sponge would work on my plate and its nice to see that it works.

    How many times have you cleaned the plate with water? Does the sheet still hold or did it start to peel off? Not sure about the adhesive of the sheet.

    I have multiple cool plates. I wash them after every print with a drop of dishwashing liquid, water and a soft sponge. Then dry with paper towel and ready to roll. At worst I might do 2 small prints before a wash if they don't overlap much. But glue in the target zone every time.

    Good for cleaning this exact cool plate, use hand sanitizer or isopropyl. I like hand sanitizer because it dry less fast. I apply 2-3 hit and rub it with hand, wait 30sec, rub again and then rub with towel. Boom clean towel.

      As glue for pla I like the liquid one, it’s thinner and work great. After a print you can see white marking where the print was. I just reapply directly on the shape and the liquid glue remet the old one. But after 5-6 plate it look bad too hahaha

    Do you need glue for PLA?

      Yes, it is suggested by the brand.

      No, works fine without glue. Pla sticks like hell on plate. They mention on the plate, that glue may help.

      I've printed very tricky prints on the cool plate without any glue. It sticks as much as on my Prusa which I've never glued.

      If you clean your bed you don't need glue.

    Its not true. The metal exposed area on the build plate it to faster cool down the nozzle before it scans the first layer so it doesnt droop. The nozzle wipes along the metal area to conduct the heat to the bulild plate. This allows to cool way faster. Nozzle cleaning is done on the wiper ^^

    There's no need to glue all the plate, just the print area especially the edges and the corners

    The ENGINEERING plate is best. No glue, spray, or anything. You can print any filament on it and you only need to hit it with ISO and BOOM, DONE! No need for ANY other plates, SAVE YOUR MONEY!

    Buy a textured plate and be done with it

    • @MakerpreneurshipWithEmir
      @MakerpreneurshipWithEmir  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I do have one and use it regularly but as the name suggests it leaves a texture on the bottom of the print and for some prints I don't want that.

      @MrDaneis ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MakerpreneurshipWithEmir gotcha, I just had so many problems with the cool plate it's not worth the energy put into maintaining it. I wanna buy the new textured plate bambu offered but I'll just wait for the XL/Max model that should have it.

    I have never used glue. I just clean my bed everytime with isopropyl alcohol.
