I got to the menu but the remote doesn'te seem to work. Tried changing batteries, looking at a webcam to be sure it was working but no joy. Tried to connect it to the computer with android tools but its not even recognized by the computer. Is there any other way I can make it move down and make it reset?
Try using a computer mouse.

Not all MXQ model have the hidden button.
Mine does have the buttons but it doesn't show the the setting it shows that android logo only then goes blank
