Just did a rinseless with N-914 on my wife's minivan. Used it to wipe down interior, the glass in and out, all the exterior. Even used it to clean the wheels and tires.
Nick: just to let you know, I just did a touch up to my side panels up here in CT after a messy winter storm on Friday. Took a new gallon jog of distilled water, added the ratio for a waterless wash. Using a pump sprayer, the N-914 was perfect. NO streaking!!! I spent a lot of money on slot of products and most would streak. Super happy with the N-914 I have a 32oz bottle that I haven’t tapped into yet. Thanks to you and Ivan for the tips and also the chemist who put it together.
I used the UBS with N 914 and cleaned my picture windows on my house. Wiped with regular drying towel. Better results than a dedicated glass cleaner and waffle weave glass microfiber. Cleanest it's ever been!
Nice to see Yvan as a guest on McKee’s channel. I’ve personally been struggling whether to use McKee’s N914 or ONR. I’ve finally bought both of them because I expect to be doing many more rinseless washes and will be trying them on interiors too. Now I’m excited about the new N914 w/wax - that could be a real value added to basic exterior details. Thanks for continuing to innovate McKee’s (even if it hurts my wallet, lol).
My absolute favorite product is the sio2 rw… especially diluted as a WW/DA. Slickness is right up there with Beadmaker and leaves a solid layer of protection.
Yvan, Nick, anyone with "inside information" - not just other detailers - help please. I will be forthcoming, I am an enthusiastic fan of N-914. I have also been a fan of ONR (esp. the new formula). We frequently talk about the ability with a good rinseless to detach the dirt from the sponge almost instantly when the sponge hits the bucket and then precipitate that grit almost instantly to the bottom of the bucket (zwitterionic properties?). Regardless of which terminology applies correctly to which properties, there is a "for fun" test on reddit (search the probably incorrectly named "Testing encapsulation in a bucket with rinseless wash products") that demonstrates various solutions of rinseless washes and dirt shaken up in jars. Very few of the products (including the N-914) show the dirt settling to the bottom of the solution quickly. It remains in suspension in almost all of the test jars. The ONR jar was one of the two to demonstrate rapid precipitation of the particles. What might you be able to explain about why the N-914 (I would ask about the others as well, but I do not use or plan to use them and such questions would need to be for others who use/develop those products) does not seem to do what I have trusted it to do and how might this influence any other measure of the other physical/chemical properties that are supposed to be advantageous for the best rinseless wash solutions.
Great video guys! I'm a huge fan of plain N-914. I use it for everything. I'm excited to try the new yellow formula. Gotta use up my supply of the very good Sio2 rinseless first 👊😁
Following up on my earlier comment. I've since tried the new wash&wax N-914 formula and it results in terrific gloss and dust repellency. My new go-to for maintenance washes. I look forward to trying it at the spray wax concentration! 😁👍
Hello, after pre wash step, when I should spray 914 and then rinse it off we do contact wash. But after contact wash can I rinse it off again instead of wiping with a towel. And only after that dry vehicle with a towel and a beader. Or for this method is better to use a traditional shampoo? Thank you!
Hi Nick and Yvan. Yes it is process, the way the americans say it, it sounds like pracess. Just like in the USA they say aluminum when it's actually aluminium hehe. Anyways the worst ingredients in polishes IMHO are solvent naptha, desulfurised kerosene, cyclohexasiloxane from the skin care industry so I've been told, glycerin, castor oil and any aromatic hydrocarbons or a very high percentage of them. I love rinseless, aint bought a car soap for two years, have had the other rinseless product for 20 years
Nick, I use McKee's SiO2 rinseless wash diluted to use as a waterless wash per the instructions. What is the appropriate dilution ratio for the green N-914 rinseless wash to use as a waterless product? Not the wash and wax product.
@@johnneidert5777 sorry, I have not. I’m a rinseless wash guy myself 😃 but I’m planning to do a waterless ratio prespray before the rinseless just to check for extra slickness during the wash. I don’t have it for a very long time either since I live in Poland and it’s really hard to get your hands on the n914 here. It’s just not distributed in Europe so I had to pull some strings 😉 But I’ve managed to get it, together with BGS and loving it 😁
@@johnneidert5777 I have and it works very well. Still blows my mind that it only needs 1/4oz in a 32oz bottle. Use it mainly to touch up bird poop and as a presoak for rinseless.
@@beamisLittt That's great to hear. I've been using the Uber rinseless at the waterless wash ratio for the last few years (3@128), and the N-914 would be use 1/3 of the product. The N-914 is much cheaper as well. Living in SoCal with the water restrictions makes my waterless wash routine every other day a must.
I used the Wash n Wax and it streaked really badly on my paint. I'm not sure if it didn't react well with the SiO2 on the paint or what but it was super difficult to remove the residue. Any tips on this?
Is N914 still great for use with wash mitts? I know when it came to popularity, there was talk that it does better than others when using something like a chenille mitt. I know you have the sponge, but I prefer the feel off a mitt, but other rinseless washes have left my mitt mehh
Look up the rinseless wash mitt made by cobra. Thats the one I use alot and I really like it. I have the Ultra Black Sponge too and it's ok and probably the safest media you can use but not worth the $20 and I've done about 5 washes with it now and it has chunks coming off. Look around on Amazon too.
Would it harm the 914 rinseless formula if you mixed some isopropyl alcohol in your dilution? Ideally I'd like to have both mixed in the same sprayer, and only wipe once. As opposed to cleaning with 914 and then having to use a separate bottle of IPA to finish it off
I’m really confused here, is the Graphene rinseless the best of the four rinseless options? Even the video “explaining” the differences, doesn’t actually explain what the Graphene version does better than the others, if anything?
The answer to your question is entirely subjective, because it depends on exactly WHAT you're looking for in a rinseless wash. The best rinseless wash is the one that best fits your application. - Nick
@@McKees37 Thanks for your response. So to make it easier, out of the three enhanced washes being the wax/Si02/Graphene, which one has the best protection, look, and longevity?
@@BigCarKilla Theoretically it should be the graphene. How much better? I don't know, you'd have to test them all side by side. Personally I wouldn't get too caught up on the longevity. If you regularly wash your car with any one of the rinseless with wax, sio2 or graphene you're always putting down fresh protection. Don't get sucked into buying more expensive options that don't give you any noticeable/ meaningful benefits.
I have used this twice now and it works great very pleased with it. A question I have is that the after the last wipe with microfiber towel and about 20 seconds later I get a haze develope and I have to wipe again and it removes it, so I am not sure what causes this, has happen both times and more noticeable on the second time i used it. It could be from the mix ratio as I add approx and maybe end up with too much or is it the temperature difference between the water and vehicle. The first time I used warm water and the second was cold water.

Love the Products! What would be the shelf life of premixed n914 with distilled water.
Based on my own experience I would say months at least. I premix it by the gallon and never seem to have a problem.
