Thank you so much Mark for your videos.I have been watching for about 8 months and learning heaps from you.Gave up training and treats May 2024.It was hard at first!!! But today no treat rewards are given and our relationship is built on trust and so much healthier.I did the flirt pole today before his walk and he was off lead.Didnt go off to flush pheasants.Did a few obedience things at end of walk - all good. I believe this is the way to go for me I have a hunting viszla dog.Everyday, we learn so much together and I have learnt so much from you.Thank you
When all of us earthly beings are made from dust then we are physical beings that need to move and do to maintain our full equilibrium/stability as nature intended it for us and what we people really have to know about dogs we can learn from observing other humans. more movement= better balance of body and mind= freer communication= easier going into dialogue and connection= opportunity for teaching, learning= being understanding= being understood Still want to learn more of how to help the ones who can't move the way they needed to bec of sickness ,old age.i can see living in nature the( wild) animals submit to it but kept as pets some can get really challenging in their behaviors. There's people also who suffer whole lots when they can't do anylonger of what it takes to calm their minds down.
Thanks for these videos, Mark. Your videos have helped me build an amazing relationship with my 13 month old amstaff x ridgeback. He's turning out to be a really nice dog, an absolute joy to be around for myself and others
I could watch your dogs chase that flirt pole all day, they look like they are really loving it. I think I need to extend the one I have, probably too short, not much whipping action. Mine chase it for about two minutes then they are done. I'm searching for the thing that wears them out. When I had a lab, I could throw a ball and wear him out. This girl I have now, I haven't found her thing. Thanks for the great video.
I get them from www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/wonder-whip-lunge-whip-66-in?srsltid=AfmBOooFI9d1RiSEZ09RgNwXpyGi084vGy_l9I-FJBLYLRx_E3abPoVS I add extra length after I get better at moving it around. They have these on Amazon but the cost is twice. These things are actually pretty strong and hold up well. I just zip tie a grocery bag at the end and most dogs go for that. I had to get a squirrel tail to get my Dalmatian to get hooked like crazy to chasing it. Those are sold on Etsy, can get squirrels foxes rabbits all kinds of stuff to try
