    Chad, which jazz players use these (triad pairs) in their solo's? Thank you for the video!❤

    Despite being a very musical scale, I'm waiting for your book about triad pairs/hexatonic scale over Jazz standards. Thanks

    If I transcribed it correctly, at the 0:20 mark you play a Cm triad, followed by a Dm triad, an Em triad, an F#maj triad, and finally an Abm triad. What was your thought process there? How did you pick those triads? It sounds so good!
    EDIT: And at the 0:05 mark we have Ebmaj triad, Fmaj triad, Gmaj triad, Amaj triad, Bmaj triad...so between those two licks I'm guessing you're selecting triads whose root notes are a whole tone apart to give it a more outside sound?

    • @AryanShehranMusic

      yeah whole tone, that minor third from the third to the fifth adds that extra spice

    Maaaan you make music seem easy everytime 😅😅🙏 and i may be crazy for noticing that this video premiered on the 17th, the PDF is 17 Exercises on Triad Pairs/Hexatonics for Jazz and the video is 17 minutes long😂coincidence i guess (Although Reddington said there's no such thing as a coincidence)

    Is there gonna be a bass clef version? I am so glad you are one of the few people publishing educational material that does that!

    How'd you know I just got through reviewing Jerry Bergonzi's triad pairs "chat"..... his is good, but not a lot of context. Seriously, this is so good, and really well presented, as always. So nice. When are the intervallic studies comin' out, then? 🤣

    I was given a Conn Tenor some years back I have Alto's I've since replaced the pads and just got a syos mouthpiece for it the last time I had a Tenor before it was stolen was 1979! I notice on one of the exercises you show a low A how is that fingered besides putting something over the bell?

    Thanks for this great concept. What are the lines you are actually playing in the example at the beginning? I tried to transcribe them but didn't find any matching pairs of triads in your pdf.

    Great stuff, but I found myself distracted by your playing a low A on your tenor in some of the exercises. How did you do that?

    • @KMerrells
      @KMerrells 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He said/played "concert A", which is low B on tenor

    • @zacharyreed2757
      @zacharyreed2757 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He's speaking in concert pitch, so low A = low B on tenor.

      But you CAN play low A on tenor - I do it all the time. Just play a low Bb and cover the bell with your thigh. It’s a crowd-pleaser!

      If it's written in concert, that would be a low B on tenor.
