I don't know what to write here I can read subtitles well, and I’ve watched a couple anime subbed, but I almost always go for the dub if it’s available. I like dubs because they’re more “convenient”. Like if I’m watching some anime with incredible art (Violet Evergarden, Redline, etc.) I want to make sure my eyes are constantly glued to what is happening, not reading what they’re saying below. Or if I’m watching a Naruto filler episode, I can still tell what’s going on, but I don’t have to give it my undivided attention. I also find comedy anime funnier in English (Space Dandy, Konosuba)
I have a friend who's just like her, but she has autism as well. She's the sweetest girl I know and draws me pictures everyday. So happy to know we're still friends for 10 years

But I’m guessing they just used that saying here for kind of like an ‘’Easter egg’’ to find.

Honestly I don't think she'd have asked him if her voice sounded weird if she didn't know it did already, I think she was more disapointed in that moment because she wanted to be able to express herself clearly and he probably made some sort of confused face so she asked if her voice sounded weird. Though, she seems to really want to say her thoughts out loud and be understood so it's still heartbreaking all the same

They have a really stress level because of this How do they develop such mindset? It's because their parents and society told them to always put other people above yourself. Shouko's VA is absolutely brilliant, especially the scene at the end when she and Ishida met on the bridge after he woke up from his coma. Her trying to talk while crying split my heart in half and my tears just fell down in a way I never thought could happen! I will forever cry to this movie no matter the age, place, or situation.

Shouko is absolutely adorable. I almost cried when she was apologising to the mother. As for Shouya not realising shes saying she likes him, it's because he is honest in his desire to help her. He's doing it for her, not because he's expecting something in return. As annoying as it was to watch him being oblivious to it, it is admirable in that it means what he is doing is honest and with absolute genuine sincerity in heart. The teacher said it in the manga: "See, you did become an exceptional man."

When i first watched this i thought this was going to be a typical romance anime film but i was wrong it was *_sooooo much more_* this film was about Depression, Bullying, Friendship, Social Anxiety, Suicidal Tendencies these things which are usually a taboo. The ending scene with Ishida made me cry so bad 😭 This was beautifully created, all the symbolisms, the frames, the animation style were beautiful. One of my top anime films *_that's for sure_* . A masterpiece of a film, really. 💖

This is just like one of my 9 wives - an English petite girl. The first time I met her was when she was about to hang herself, since she was bullied and they took her clothes off in class. How could they? She may look normal, but she too is like Shōuko. Thank goodness I got there on time. Now, in regards as to why I married 9 girls, it's because her, I did this so that she feels to be with her co-wives who will act like her class 1 friends. If one of my wives can relate to Shōuko, then I will do it on her behalf.

Sadly the movie ends where the manga ends but if you read the manga it has more stories and scenes cause the movie squished all 7 books so I recommend it
Every time I hear Nishimiya try to speak I always think of when she said "I'm doing the best I can!" while Ishida was bullying her. It makes me feel severely depressed, I can't imagine a life where I can't communicate through speaking.
Its not just communicate. She can't communicate with others and also can't hear the world. She still trying her very best. She wanted to be friendly and wanted some friends. But alas, she get bullied by others. Our Mc hurt her physically and mentally. And she replied with a pretty smile. But they are in a relationship in the end. The person they hate most are their closest. Your born deaf . Its not your problem. We are with you always and love you. You should love your self . Forget your problem. Be happy. This is life .

As someone who speaks Japanese well enough, everything she said to him when they were kids was not that hard to understand. I'm starting to think that *he* was the deaf one.

When i first watched this i thought this was going to be a typical romance anime film but i was wrong it was *_sooooo much more_* this film was about Depression, Bullying, Friendship, Social Anxiety, Suicidal Tendencies these things which are usually a taboo. The ending scene with Ishida made me cry so bad 😭 This was beautifully created, all the symbolisms, the frames, the animation style were beautiful. One of my top anime films *_that's for sure_* . A masterpiece of a film, really. 💖
