SlimeVR FBT - Desoldering With Only An Iron

This video is a cheat-sheet on how to "rake" modules off of a carrier PCB. It can be rough and is likely to damage modules, but if you're trying to salvage what you can from a non-functional tracker, it might be better than nothing.

I mean, a solder sucker is like 2usd and most of the time they just give it away together with the iron. why go through that raking process at all instead of desoldering pin by pin ?

Depends how well the sucker can clear. I find a lot of the time that there's always a little bit left over that I can never seem to get, which means the part is still soldered on, and now there's a sliver of solder you can't get the heat into either. I find solder suckers and desoldering guns more useful for clearing holes.
This is just me though, I'd always suggest people try different things to see what works for them!
