This song honestly encapsulates so much, it’s unbelievable. The bittersweet truths of growth. The messy but necessary process of finding yourself after feeling lost in someone or something else. The difficult task of redefinition. The loneliness. The uncertainty. The learning. The hopefulness. I needed this, thank you YTG.

They really did it again, another masterpiece album
I'm very thankful for my son introducing me to some great alternative bands and these guys are one of them. What a brilliant song. I'm 67 now and it bothers me that a lot of people my age think the music today is inferior to the music of our day. All I have to say is that listen to bands like this. I'm sure most would change their minds.
A lot of the highest-charting pop songs lately are worse than bad, but there are certainly good songs and bands out there, many of which aren't played on top 40 stations.
We were a couple of 60+ year olds at the show Sunday night, we are also big fans of Milky Chance...who were outstanding. YTG has something really special going on....and I consider myself an old school punk rocker. Tour is still ongoing...get out and support these bands!!!!

I agree. I'm 62 and i played out with a band back in the late 80s, and this song has such a great sound, great mix. It had the feel of a 90s well done pop rock song, almost like the Fixx, Peter Gabriel, the Smiths, (a little) Midnight Oil, just good rock bands that had a slash of the Brit rock pop sense, nice chord changes, multi tracked 12 string, all done well.
Perhaps I'll check out more of their stuff

the ability to hear so much GREAT music when it was still fresh, and
the ability to forget the garbage.
When Sameer sings the part "Forever's not enough" and hits that higher note on "enough" it sounds so beautiful that it makes me cry, thinking about my Mother passing in 2020. Thank you Young the Giant.

The emotional core of each song from their debut album to now is just as loud or speaks louder than the words at times. It’s revolutionary. I truly believe that. That’s why Young the Giant will always be my favorite band of all time, and forever the most meaningful.🥹❤️✨

I dont think this comment will get out to many, but I really relate to this song. I’m 25 now and for the last two years I’ve felt lost and hopeless- I love life but been faced with another identity crisis. I’m finding my way back but it’s been tough. However not tough enough to not keep trying. Which is my advice to anyone listening. You are never alone with the feeling❤️❤️

I've been going through a spiritual growth spurt in my life. My brother was in the hospital a few weeks ago and fortunately he is better now but things were looking grim for a while. Because of that I have been thinking about life and realizing that I was dealing with some pretty heavy emotions that I repressed. Right now I really wish someone would walk me home on my path of healing.

Same this song is one of the only in my life that struck the first time I heard it, on the radio.
To be honest it's been a while since the last time I checked on Young The Giant but then this song came to my spotify release radar. It reminds me of their first album (which I love), somewhat nostalgic. I then listened to the whole EP and eventually rediscovered my old love for them.
Very reminiscent of the early albums. Been a fan since the first album and this is probably one of the most soothing and beautiful songs they have made. Kudos to YTG

They just can't stop throwing fire! I was bedridden and dying for 2 years and came across a live concert and they played Cough Syrup....I cried, my wife cried and their music really walked me through such a dark time. Please don't stop my friends!
This album is really, really good. I don't use this word a lot but I think it's truly underrated at this present moment. Even my indie friends slept on it and I had to convince them to listen again.

I lost both parents within the last 4 years and have put off dealing with the grief that comes along with such a traumatic loss. Heard this song the other day and it just hit me right where I was least expecting. The deluge of emotions that followed were overwhelming. Touché, TH-cam algorithms and Young the Giant; you got me where I probably should be facing reality.
