Hi @Cynthia, I would love to start my fast as soon as I get clarity. Do you mind sharing the type of fast you did? How long it was, what you ate or drunk if it was not a dry fast and the scriptures that you read? Your response is highly appreciated 🙏
@Kaatri Eelu hi, sorry for the late response. I did both the Esther and the Daniel fast, but at different times
E.g, the Esther fast was, I think, 5 or 6 years ago, this I didn't do solo but with my family, and we literally saw heaven and earth 'open'. We are still enjoying the fruits of the breakthroughs we experienced. it was, I think, just a water fast for 3 days, I remember occasionally taking glucose just to get some energy because I was so weak.
The Daniel fast I did roughly 21 days, to be honest it was not perfect but God was gracious. I basically ate just fruits and vegetables. No animal products. I was really devastated at the time, and God answered me in a tremendous way. This was last year around February/ March. I read both Esther and Daniel when doing the fasts and also would read Psalms. You can also read Isaiah 58 on the right way of fasting.
Towards the end of last year, I also fasted, I did the 3 day water fast, and on the second day, I was having dreams that were literally happening the very next day. I had told my colleagues the dreams just casually ( because it was concerning work) and then these things would happen just like I had dreamt, they were really shocked (I was too) and one even said that that would make them start believing in God.
I could go on and on, but what I've learnt is the importance of fasting and praying. You will literally see protocols broken, etc.. It has to, however, be from the heart. Our God is truly an awesome God.

Currently on my 2nd day of fasting. I’m fasting with just water for 3 days and my hunger is really calling out to me today. I will make it!

The Esther fast is a really powerful fast and allows spiritual growth. And closeness to God.

I’ve done the Ester fast more than 5 times in the past 3 years....but now 🙆🏽♀️ I need God more than ever but I’m struggling to even pray 🥺 and I miss my relationship with Christ.... you must be God sent for me to actually do this 🙌🏽

Jesus knows and He cares... He understands your current situation and is patiently waiting for you to come back... Grace is available. You can do it.

Oh God I did that fast once in 2020,I still don't have courage to do it again,its such a hard fast.but very powerful

Before you fast guys- know your body, you can still fast with water.
If you have any medical conditions that will put your body into shock or dehydration- please drink water during the three days. Preferably water with electrolytes.

I have never done esther fast, a dry fast. In the last week i had God apeak to me that i should pray and fast. I didn't know how to do it but the urge to fast and pray was so intense. So i did a dry fast for 3 days, God sustained me. The second day i felt alittle dizy i asked God for divine strength through the holy spirit. On the third day i felt strength in me i call it divine strength, i have never felt this good before both spiritually and physically. God started answering my prayers even before i broke my first. Nothing is impossible through the power of the Holy spirit. I love food but i was deepened in worship that i didn't think of food
I am happy I am supposed to be on a 21 days fast that I have failed to finish but I did 8 days of fasting, it was my first time. I feel some change in my life already. I want to do the Esther fast too.

@@leslienichols6253 So with the Daniel fast your eat things like veggies, and with Esther there is no eating and drinking water.
Lol it’s so funny that you said “you better eat Now” girlll that was sooo me I ate sooo much before my fast, all of my fav foods lol! Today is my second day and I almost lost hope but I know that I can and will finish my fast! Thank you, I’m so ready to see the miracles that God is about to work!

I've never done Esther fasting,I usually do 3 day fasting with veggies after dark and water.
I will pray about it and ask God for strength.
I can totally relate. When my mother first today me about Esther i was like nahhhh im not ready yet😂😣(plus im a foodie). But 3 days after she suggested it i started considering it and so now im preparing for it. I'm so excited💃🏾.
I felt like the Holy Spirit wanted me to fast straight away I heard dry fast I was putting it off for awhile so I'm going to b obedient and start tomorrow

Am on my 3rd of the Esther fast with my husband today has been hard yhooo but the connection and presence of God feels so beautiful it’s so challenging this fast especially that I am so big on food …..Am so grateful that God has seen me through this fast am shocked and proud 3days straight no foood just spending time in Gods presence

Im a chef....and ive been called to do this fast. The first day 4 people tried to get me after i told them i was fasting. Im 34.5hrs into this fast and i feel like im on drugs wtf. I feel high and scatterbrained. This job is tryna entrap me into a violent cycle ive never been in and this fast making me hangry 😩😫

So your fast would start at midnight on Friday, and end at midnight on Sunday.

You can fast more than once it’s up to you. Truthfully- you intuition will tell you when you need to fast again. I started my fast and haven’t done this fast in two years, however I was going through some battles and my spirit told me it was time to fast.

I don’t think gum has any influence on your fasting. You will be fine.

No please don’t chew gum. Gum contains sugar.
@@CherryJ2911 There is mint free gum, also red hot gum- it’s so hot, you will not taste the sugar.
Fasting is about your relationship with God, and he understands all- if you feel as if you’re about to faint or have low blood sugar from your fast and chew gum. God will still honor your fast, because you’re fasting from your heart and you’re trying your best.
Not everyone can do the Ester fast, and if you can fast by only chewing gum and drink water. I’m sure the faster will be fine!
Chewing gum makes your hunger pains worse. It tricks the digestive system into thinking it needs to be digesting food. So please don't chew gum and make your hunger pains worse
