@@Peregood_V fam, I don’t think this is a nerf blaster. It might be orange/purple/colours that proper homemades shall be, but it’s an airgun, so basically airsoft with bigger metal pellets for target shooting and not shooting darts/bbs at others
You should get a .177 or .22 Or rifle caliber barrel blank, you can buy old air rifle barrel, you can even make your own .22 barrel. A smoothbore is not accurate, you need to make sure the power is not over 12Ft/Lb otherwise it'd classed as a real firearms in the UK. The limit for pistols is 6
If you study gun design more in depth, you will learn that a smoothbore is correct and super accurate when shooting round balls, especially hard metal ball such as steel.
Yes they can be I have shot many steel copper coated 4.5mm balls from air rifles but it really depends on the range and velocity, for shirt ranges fine and even in shotguns things like lead ball, slug, wax slugs they can be reasonably accurate but rifled barrels are always more accurate for small projectiles in a standard setup and you get more consistency. Some russian airguns meant to shoot copper coated steel BBs have heavy duty rifled barrels and you can tell the difference quite alot in accuracy and consistency '@@JPPieterse-p3x

How many times can the gas contained in the air chamber be fired for you? I see that the capacity is 5mpa on your list, and there are still 3mpa left after you hit the air twice. Is the working pressure of 1mpa too small?
what kind of ammo do you use in this type of rifle? and how did you make the barrel? congrats on the project. I downloaded your files but I can't find machining instructions for the barrel
It doesn’t need any machining;as it uses bearing steel balls as ammo, it simply adopts an extruded brass tube. Extruded tube are probably the straightest barrel people can easily bought at decent price.
But I have another new project still as rough CAD works in my computer, where I do plan to use rifled barrel, I am thinking starting with a hexagon extruded tube, then twisted it by some manner (may need design some jig for it). In this case, I imagine it could work as those whitworth rifles.
Or if the twisting can’t be done, I am also thinking 3d printing the twisted hex inner barrel using SLA (the barrel won’t be very long this time ); then casing the printed barrel with a brass tube. The ammo in this case I imagine would also be 3d printed, probably with some lub pre-applied. I am simply too busy to profess this project this year, hopefully I could have some time to actually finish it next summer.
will do as soon as i get the time, probably june or july this year. just to give u an idea how it performs, at 4Mpa, it can penetrate approximately 1mm stainless steel at about 10m, and the bullet can scatter within a cola sleek can bottom at this distance.
Youve done wonderful work! Keep the process going!
OMG That's really awesome project. A support from Beijing.
Pretty impressive. I have really nice pcp rifles but thought it would be fun to try and design my own like this
What about Caliburn remix. It will have 100% best mechanic part and with your part remixes it would be unique.

@@kaiserwilhelmii.9076 their concepts are the same, it could be modified for nerf darts just changing a few parts I suppose.
@@gangluan you could change the barrel to 17/32 or 9/16 brass.
can the 3D printed part withstand the pressure from the release port?

you should add a quick exhast valve it will increase fps alot
waiting for a vid on how it operates, air filled and shoot at targets

Love it. You should sell them lol
Cool design, can you share print drawings?
Nice 👏
Great build, very inspiring. Maybe post a video of it in action hitting some targets?
