I spent a few years working for Santa Claus and could see that the reindeer are tough and very friendly animals with remarkable cold adaptability. Good work BBC !
Same their fur is simply Devine and the way the look at the camera is like they love the camera. I love animals and if I would I would love to meet these reindeer.
If you look at the ears if the reindeer, you can se that they have small like cuts jn them, that way, they are able to know wich animal belongs to who. Every herder has a different mark on the reindeer, so that he will not lose the reindeer or they don't get mixed with other herders reindeer
Petri was going to teach him everything he knows about reindeer? Really? He gave him a half bag of food and left him to it. Not much of a lesson there. We were told they have thick fur (with hollow hairs) which insulates them. Is that all he learned about these animals? He'd have taught us more about reindeer adaptations if he'd written to Father Christmas for information.

@@Juz3000 I only asked because i cant imagine -50 degree Celsius. I live in a region where 0 is very very cold. -50 degree ,is unimaginably cold, how does any creature, let alone a man survive. How is his breath not freezing. 😱
@@samsalot6115 yeah it's cold, but doable with proper clothing. -30c and more the nose hairs, eye lashes and facial hair start to freeze because of the moisture from breathing, and frostbite risk is getting more serious with toes, fingers, cheeks, ears and nose areas if not wearing proper clothes and staying still for too long in that kind of weather. @@Donari I did immediately after lol then I wasnt satisfied so I dug deeper and found out they lose weight during the artic winter and many die if they cant get to their only source of food lichen cuz it's under thick solid ice.
I love at 1:40 - 1:45 when it looks like the reindeer is the narrator.
Haha
He's verbally abusing the narrator lmao
Hahahaha 😎😎😎😎
equesdeventusoccasus LMAOOOO
I wonder if the reindeer know that he's wearing their cousin on his feet
thats exactly what i was thinking and i knew someone would say that too😛
nope they don't know, because they don't judge like people
I love how the reindeer caretaker is wearing actual elf shoes.

Lmao elf shoes 😂😂😂😂😂
@@henriknilsen7914 That's so cool!
The elves stole them from the Saami people. They curl up at the toe so they can hook into wooden skis to travel across the snow.
@@treck87 actually the curve up the toe so they can give you a good ass kicking lol

I expected to learn more from this video than 'they have thick fur'

I recently interacted with them for the first time, they are beautiful but very pushy, they’d climb on you to try and get the lichen

Why does the reindeer owner remind of Goldmember. 😂😂 I love goooooooold!!
idk cuz that dude is scandinavian and the goldmember was dutch not really that similar of an accent
Awesome! Thanks! 🙏
Surely there is a creator behind this perfection. Open your eyes this is not a coincidence

Cold resistant deers.
They aren’t elf shoes, they are part of the culture
i'm still waiting for the story?????
They didn't "adapt" to survive in cold environments, they were designed to survive in cold environments.
How do reindeer survive the cold: thicc fur
Thiccc 🦌
THICC
COME ON GET DOWN WITH THE THICCNESS
God created them perfectly.
@Bobby Polfus - hm, too bad God doesn’t exist. Or atleast if he/she did, then he/she’d make animals endangered today further populated.
Amazed by the Creator
Ngl I was expecting the reindeer to be alot bigger than that
Chopper!!😀
Weeb.
I'm 18 and still can't take care of myself and this guy started caring for reindeer when he was 2 what
It's harder to take care of yourself in the modern world than to take care of reindeer like it's 1840
Lindos animales uno de los iconos de la navidad pasada
That guy sounds like Goldmember from Austin Powers
How have i learnt this at a very old age
reindeer utilising double glazing long before we did
2:47 reindeer says no!
Do they fly?
That was great. All the males were gorgeous on this one. ;)
Mantabb 👍
What is the title of the outro song?
That accent reminds me of the guy in austin powers lol
When do they go flying
Subhanallah
Good ol Petry could pass for a Beastie Boy.
Am i the only one who thought these animals were fictional as a child?
Today, I just realized that they _are_ real. Lmao.
The flying part is fictional. Think of them as similar to carabou.
Circle of life
Poor reindeers 😱😱😱😱😭😭😭😭😭😭
They have hair covering their noses. That is unique. Plus I never realized how spit on goldmember’s accent was.
thought that was nice to not ask for a number if it was an insult
SUBTITLES PLEASE!!😂😂
he sounds like Kimi Raikonnen

celsius, they're in finland

In my personal opinion if you have actual reindeer as pets and don't name them Dancer, Prancer, etc. that's such a missed opportunity.
You don't need the word "personal" in your comment. It just makes you seem narcissistic.
