This song is not only perfect, but it makes me think of a few things while listening to it. 1. When Steve Miller says the lyric that starts out as "Northern California" and when I thought it was "Northern California, where the girls are home so I can hear my sweet baby say..." It made me think that Steve was in a taxi and telling the driver where to go (don't ask) 2. In the first lyric "And I'm trying to find a job, but it keeps gettin' tougher everyday." I see Steve sitting at a table, looking in the paper for a job, but can't find any. 3. "Baby don't be suspicious, now don't get suspicious. Baby you know your a friend of mine." My names preston and ever since I was a child I was extremely close to my grandpa spending the weekend at his house all the time till at one point I lived with him I am 16 and I understand that I have never been there to hear these classics when they were in their prime but I could still remember that growing up with my grandpa which was In his 60’s taught me everything about these songs and introduced them to me and I have listened to these songs with him ever since I was a child so yes they never get old and as they might be old I feel like they are the next hit songs they were when they came out

This song is not only perfect, but it makes me think of a few things while listening to it.
1. When Steve Miller says the lyric that starts out as "Northern California" and when I thought it was "Northern California, where the girls are home so I can hear my sweet baby say..." It made me think that Steve was in a taxi and telling the driver where to go (don't ask)
2. In the first lyric "And I'm trying to find a job, but it keeps gettin' tougher everyday." I see Steve sitting at a table, looking in the paper for a job, but can't find any.
3. "Baby don't be suspicious, now don't get suspicious. Baby you know your a friend of mine." Here, I can see Steve at home trying to convince his wife he's not cheating. Well, it makes sense, right?!?
4. "I went from Phoenix, Arizona, all the way to Tacoma. Philadelphia, Atlanta, LA." This is where I see Steve with his band going on tour.
5. "Baby baby baby." This is where it got weird. I saw Steve pointing to a abandoned baby on the road, and saying those 3 words, then walked away.
