I've found my four kids ages 4-9 pretty much gravitate toward playdo (simple homemade with a few tools that fit into a shoe box size bin), water colors (again a small bin) and drawing. We keep the drawing implements on our school table. Its helped me to let go of so much of the crafty stuff. If they see a fun kit or something, we can buy it and enjoy it, but other than that, I don't keep much on hand. I have 3 boys, so its a little easier to be minimal with the crafty stuff.
Tbh, it kind of feels like I just watched myself cleaning my kids’ current toys/room situation, but in 3rd person. This video is probably more of a tidying and cleaning video of an existing mess, rather than a transition to minimal. Regardless, it was great and is still very helpful to see how other parents deal with this many toys and their system to manage them.
Hi Matthew! It definitely is a process getting to that minimalist stage, I’m going at it gradually, getting rid of more and more things we don’t need. Thank you for watching!
Also, twistable crayons and colored pencils are a game changer! No more broken crayons and messy pencil shavings.
