Hi Byf. Upon looking up Saturn VI, Titan appears to be the thing that appears, alongside the Saturn VI rocket used by NASA.
Byf, have you seen the Asher Mir instances in the Partition mission?
Surprisingly we didn't see any more involvement from Eramis or her House of Salvation.
i think it might be one of the travelers leviathans was in the titan seas.

Imagine for a moment. What if the giant beast beneath titan's waves isnt a worm. What if it is a leviathan? As in, the same light aligned species that was living beneath the waves of fundament? I think that'd definitely qualify as an enemy of the witness
it could be but the giant continental sized leviathan on fundament was bested by rulk in an infinitessemly small amount of time so even that beast wouldn't be a major threat, much less a baby leviathan

Titan is designated as Saturn VI (it could also be a yet unbuilt rocket in the Saturn series as those are also referred to by Roman Numerals, but more likely the moon).
Maybe in Season of the Deep we discover how to return planets (as Savuthun implies in a 2truths/2lies bit) and it's similar to deepsight.
But yeah, Saturn VI is Titan astronomically

It makes the most sense to go back to Titan. We had the giant hive worms, the sea monsters that were never explained, and there was the connection to Savathun in the Savathun’s Song strike.
As much as I would love to visit Fundament, I don’t think that’s going to happen yet. I also think that Season of the Deep is where we will start to consider letting Immaru revive Savathun.
First thing that came to my mind with this is, are we finally gonna learn what Cayde meant with "It's on Enceladus"?

It seems like the Vex are more important to the story now. Nezarec in the Vex Network, the Vex seeking entrance into the CloudArk and/or being attracted to Strand/the Veil, and Soteria's submind... nice, as they seemed kind of forgotten or irrelevant during last year.
Plus, if you hang around Quinn in the Hall of Heroes, you'll hear her say that a single word is being broadcast on repeat in the Vex Network. The word?
"Assistant".

Last time we saw asher he was a part of the vex network so it makes a lot of sense to see him again, Sloan was inside a weird prewar battlesuit battling the hive and screaming deafening war cries.
Wait what? Really? Asher was on Earth at the end of Season of the Splicer during the big Vex attack. I love the idea of Asher showing up in random places when we need him most. Also, before Asher went and became a Vex, he conducted experiments on a Pyramid Ship, he learned something that made him smile, but we never learned what that was. Maybe as a Vex it's something he can exploit..
I’m just saying. The Glaives looks like a Trident, I want to become the Poseidon of Titan when we return. We ride the giant sea monster at dawn.

I remember when a lot of people used to think the worm thing in the ocean was a worm god, and considering next season is called “season of the deep” and almost everytime the deep is mentioned the worm gods are also mentioned so we might end up going back to titan next season for the worm thing? Also I’m very curios what actually attacked maya sunderesh and her crew in the winter bite exotic glaive lore tab, was it a disciple? Because after it got shot it left it’s glaive behind and almost all of the disciples seem to have glaives.
So is the leviathan mentioned in relation to the deep, and also drowning in the deep. Rhulk swam down and beat-up a leviathan to free the worms.

Titan is officially designated as “Saturn VI” so whatever’s there could be one in the same. The thing in Titan’s ocean could be one of two things: a Worm God still hanging out, or another Leviathan.
Lot’s of people didn’t think it was a Leviathan because it looked too small but it could be, after we saw the Rib in Rhulk’s Pyramid.

The main questions we should be asking about Cayde-6's message to Petra is this: What was Petra looking for that Cayde-6 went to look for it? Why would he only want her to know AFTER he died? Could it be something Cayde-6 hid and wanted Petra to have or is it something he knew we would need in the future? This brings us more questions than answers.....and I am here for it!!!
Well with Nezarec being behind the K1 artifact and by proxy the birth of Exos through Clovis, its always possible that Exo dreams showed him something there aswell. We know they dream of the Crypt alot so its not a stretch for them to have vision of other things linked to Nezarec.
it was retconned to be the dsc, europa was initially going to be enceladus but bungie remembered they had concept art for europa from d1 so changed it to that. soteria is talking about titan since she mentions it but also saturn vi is titan's official designation, she isn't referring to saturn's 6th biggest moon

Well, it is interesting that now we have a bust memorial of Cayde at the tower. That came out of no where and now we have this bit of reference text. Interesting for sure.
The thing I'm excited to see is something i havent seen talked about much from the calus collectors edition lore book, page 7 where he is having his outburst he claims "isn't that what you say, Umun? In the heart of every gas giant there is an abomination waiting to hatch?" In reference to the worms using them as 'grave wombs'. My mind went -straight- to the leviathan on titan over this, but then thought about the implications of what that also means for Neptune.

I think at this moment it's safer to assume that Saturn VI is simply referring to Titan. However, it's definitely worth keeping Enceladus in mind because we could start to see references to it this year, possibly after we get Titan back
So this isn’t related to this topic, but I just started Lightfall on another character and caught a glimpse of a statue of a Tormentor on the ship the Witness was on. Only, it looks larger and a bit different from the ones we’ve seen so far. Maybe it’s a statue of Nezarec?

There's also a morse code message that seems to be from Asher in the lore tab of the Inside Line sparrow. So this could be bungie forshadowing us returning to Titan and Io or I'm just reading this all the wrong way, it's happened before.
Season of the deep could be a hint towards the season taking place on/being based around Titan and whatever lies under the waves.
Or it could be in reference to savathun, oryx or Xivu, it was speculation that the giant worm esk entity on titan was oryx’s worm, although unlikely

I've been VERY invested in Soteria's story since the Spire. I was extremely happy upon seeing her being mentioned again and that she has some lore importance! I hope we eventually get to meet her in the CloudArk, perhaps to gain more info and maybe working together for one of the seasons.
With Rasputin gone, and 'Echoes' focusing on the Vex, I think it's not out of the question we'll be enlisting help from Soteria in a few weeks.

I definitely don't think that Titan worm thing is the enemy of the Witness, if it was it would have done in the moments before Beyond Light when the Witness was coming. Narratively, I could see Sloan being the enemy of the Witness thanks to her power armor, surviving wherever Titan was taken too and thus learning information about the Witness. A sort of "changed man" type situation where she comes back much wiser for the journey she's made. Furthermore, if this is for season of the Deep, Titan's oceans would be quite parallel to the deep oceans of Fundemant
A point to Enceladus, the Awoken's magic and bomb logic have been unique parausal forces in the universe. Especially with this season, we see that Mara's powers allow us to enter pyramid ships/ziggurats and rescue people. I wonder if it's possible that Petra's (and thus the awoken) interest on Enceladus might be because there's being with unique paracausal force that relates to something the Awoken know about but didn't think still existed (or some other reason for them to not bring it to our attention)

This is just speculation but perhaps the enemy is a known former champion of the Witness, Oryx. With Savathun resurrected and it shown in the Witch Queen cutscenes that all 3 Hive gods were originally going to be chosen by the Traveller, plus the fact that Oryxs body drifted off into Saturns orbit after Kings Fall its entirely possible that hes been resurrected by a Ghost by now, and could be on Titan. Not only that but since Savathun was capable of recovering her memory its entirely possible that Oryx may himself, which may lead to intel on the Witness.
Planetary speaking i don’t think that it could be possible for a ghost to enter the harsh winds from the atmosphere of Saturn without being torn apart, and also how exactly would he make it out of there? and u can’t say by flying because it would be impossible from a gravity and atmospheric perspective.

Saturn VI is the formal scientific designation of Titan, not Enceladus, but we all know Bungie plays it fast and loose with terminology.
If this is for a seasonal story, I think Titan is more plausible simply because it could be reprised like Mars was in Seraph.
I vividly remember the piece you did on Enceladus (sp?) and i loved it back then, i love it even more now, it would be so intriguing to finally be able to discover the secrets hidden there. Plus i have always been a fan of cayde and his lore. great piece as per usual.

Its insane that sloane actually managed to survive considering we saw what happened to Mars, it literally got ripped apart by the witness' space time magic and fractured into different time periods
Saying it was ripped apart makes it aound a lot more violent than it was. The darkness can bring back memories and it was just more intense to the point that it physically brought the Past back as if the physical space itself was remembering it.

Saturn VI is usually referring to Titan. Enceladus is referred to as Saturn II.
Interestingly, in the lore tab, they refer to putting Hyperion between them and whatever hostile force they're dealing with. Hyperion is also known as Saturn VII.
Imagine if the survivor on Titan is a crashed ship containing Taox. Incredibly unlikely but that would be something incredible to find
Well, this is where my tinfoil hat went on... we extracted savathuns worm right... and we put it in parasite.. it can't exactly grow in that space provided. We don't know if Taox ever accepted a worm. If she did what would it feed off of? What if what we saw swimming in the oceans of Titan was Taox's worm.. and whatever it needed to feed off of, was plentiful in the oceans of Titan or even just around it that allowed it to grow to that size.

Lightfall has been such a weird expansion. The first mission/cutscene and all the post campaign/ seasonal stuff is so good, and yet we all seem to be let down by the whole rest of the campaign story. I'm actually still reasonably hyped for what we'll discover this year.
kinda reminds me of Red War, first mission was awesome but everything else campaign-related was a letdown
I think the 2nd-5th missions are the biggest let downs. The mission where Rohan dies to the ending I found to be pretty fun and kinda saved the overall experience for me. But still half the missions being meh certainly brings down the overall score
the expansion is basically filler but it seems they've stepped up in every other area besides the narrative
It's the complete lack of campaign narrative, and how small it is. Sure there's a lot of lore... but it's all breadcrumbs.
I dont understand any of the people saying they were "let down" by the campaign tbh. It was fun times and It did its job well.
I personally think it's titan as it says "as soon as possible" which implies next season.
We have the titan location already made for us, they would just need to change it
Enceladus is a totally new location and either they release it during the final shape or they somehow made an entire new location and decide to release it mid-lightfall seems like an odd choice considering when location were usually added.
We ended up getting snippets of Mars over the year of witch queen we could be getting snippets of titan this year

However, as Savathun implies, the books of sorrow may be full of lies and bias
So yeah, would be epic to see the Leviathan

Most screens/monitors even windshields on some vehicles come with blue light reduction filters built in so the coating on those lenses actually does very little apart from get greasy real easy.
I used to work for a company that worked with them and even they knew the benefits provided where minuscule but still produced them because people like you tell people like me to buy them 😅

As many others have probably already said, "Saturn vi" is Titan's Designation. Enceladus is designated "Saturn ii". I hope we get to go back to Titan. I only started playing D2 when it was free on Game Pass, so I joined about midway through Season of Arrivals, and I enjoyed that location a lot. I was sad to see it go. Plus, who knows, maybe the sea creature is similar to the Leviathan on Fundement. Another great video, Byf!

The fact that it says both makes me think there’s info on Enceladus perhaps, maybe a way to force rip Titan back into real space🤔 Also, apparently the nine have said stuff about the leviathan, with the season name the deep it’s gotta be us going down into the methane.
Is that the quote Cayde makes about the "Long Slow Whisper"? It would be crazy to see Titan come back time warped like Mars is; imagine major rips where sections of the rigs are whole again. The next season is called Season of the Deep. They said it in the video for Lightfall...

I hope we get SOME answer to Enceladus eventually. I know it was changed behind the scenes, but there is still lore potential there.
Maybe season of the deep is going into Titan's depths. It sorta makes sense the witness would try to keep potential weaknesses out of our grasp. Might turn out there's another clue on Io, considering we already found the clue on Mars.

Looking at Britannica online, the traditional numerical designation of Titan is VI and Enceladus is II in regards to the moons of Saturn.
I also realize with strand, we are able to put back those probably rather difficult monuments of Cloud striders and it works in perfect fashion. Are we really going to explore how much we as the guardian can grow? Will we really get power as great as Savathun has stated? Did Savathun ever visit Neomuna and actually talk with the people? So many questions!!! 😂
This helps a bunch, and is insightful with the Vex mind peacefully helping Neomuna.
I’m pretty sure Aesop the mind that terrorized Neomuna in the past was looking for plans on the Veil originally, but what if it was also looking for the Occlusion, which makes it’s retaliation more obvious, it asks for the rerun of an adolescent mind, the city refuses, protecting it, and in return Aesop culls their own young in return
The one thing i love now is the potential to return to these mysteries from vanilla D2 - as I recall there was a scannable (I miss these) under Sloane's area at Siren's Watch where the Arcology systems picked up something MASSIVE beneath the waves. Piggybacking on Grimms comment here, perhaps this is why that giant Shrieker in the strike on Titan was there... perhaps to tell Savathun the location of the light-aligned leviathan beast, hiding under the waves? It would also explain the Hives presence on Titan in vanilla D2... Byf, I think we need to re-examine all the original Adventure missions on Titan, AND all the original scannables found throughout the zones.
Hearing Saturn Six just reminded me about the Wolf of Saturn Six boss from Warframe. But I think they were referring to a prison that's just called "Saturn Six" in that game's setting rather than an actual moon or IRL location.
Season of the deep reminds me of xol and the whisper mission, considering that there were some taken themed weapons leaked for next season, the name of the season itself, combined with that worm creature from years ago it could be that as the enemy of the witness, maybe it’s a enemy of my enemy is my friend kinda scenario, but I see it as a stretch to have a wormgod side with us somehow
I'm studying astronomy on the side but a thing that I would like to note is that the The International Astronomical Union officially numbers Titan as Saturn VI. The ADS has similar papers relating to Saturn VI/Titan (of course, you need paid access to said papers to view them). So you're actually correct to Saturn VI to be Titan.
I’d be willing to bet that next season will see a return to Titan, as that’s where the enemy of the witness. The theming goes well together. Deep in reference to the darkness but also in reference to Titan being an ocean moon. (Bungie likes that kinda stuff). A scorn or hive season likely…
Also, Saturn IV I think isn’t referring to a place but something (maybe a rocket or something. The Saturn line of rockets uses Roman numerals. Ex: Saturn V).

Byf, moons are named in order of discovery, and both Mimas and Enceladus were discovered in 1989, the 6th and 7th in order. Not sure which one really came first, but Enceladus is definitely plausible.
Interesting coincidence that Saturn VI could also be Enceladus. Seeing as Titan in mentioned in the same page, I would certainly bet that's all they're referring to but it could also be a tease from Bungie for something different. I still get the feeling Enceladus has something important.

we do have very old art of an icy moon like Europa. but it has Saturn in the sky. Some may have seen during the game 's installation update two weeks ago.
Enceladus is similar to Europa in that it’s got a massive ocean underneath it’s ice. Recently it was confirmed that Enceladus can support life in real life (not destiny). Although the worm on titan swims in liquid methane which is what the oceans on titan are made of as a pose to Enceladus which has water oceans. It’s much more likely we’re going to titan in one of the seasons but it’s possible that the worm’s species (which is the most likely threat to the witness as soteria called it) can swim in water also. Idk though. Also I think Byfs content is amazing. Congrats on 1 mil subs

I think you're absolutely right Byf. I think we're returning to Titan for Season of the Deep. Thematically it makes sense, it's a practical move for the live team to reuse and remix old assets, and for a dungeon...we venture into the "Lair of the Leviathan?!?!" Hi, mathematical and astro physics major here. Saturn VI in scientific terms usually refers to Titan. However, Enceladus is indeed 6th largest. Would lean towards titan from a development perspective (less things needed from scratch) and that enceladus is just a red herring, especially if we’re looking at seasonal content.

Talking about Saturn VI links to how the IAU designates moons. The first eight are done based on their distance from Saturn, so in this case Enceladus is Saturn II. Titan is Saturn VI because its the 6th farthest from Saturn of the original eight moons. All subsequent ones from Saturn IX onwards are done by order of discovery.
Knowing they bought back D1 Mars and D2 Mars last year for witch queen seasons, I won't be surprised if they bring back Titan and maybe IO because of Asher being seen in the Vex net. Those destinations didn't get enough love back in the day and I can't think of anything more better if those moons help us defeat the witness
Hey byf if you stand near Quinn long enough in the hall of heroes she will mention asher myr. As she sees a weird vex light thing in the network or attempting to contact them.
As an astrophysics student, not terribly sure about naming conventions but I will say that in general, bodies orbiting a celestial object are ranked by letter (a,b,c…) if being categorized in terms of proximity to the body they orbit with A being closest. So the theory might make sense
