A theme dedicated to Arknights Operator Texas.
It has been ages since my last upload. Unfortunately life can get in the way, especially in times like these. I am far from confident in my work and I have been pondering on whether I want to proceed with what I am doing. Furthermore, in what direction do I want to move forward from now on? I actually have no idea.
This project has been open for a long time - started back in mid-February. Once again, I decided on doing something new - along with being new to metal composing/ producing, I never have worked with vocals before. Furthermore, this is my first attempt editing a video beyond a generic wafeform visualiser and I may have overdone it a bit.
Texas pretty much is my all-time favourite unit in the game; she is responsible for sparking my interest in Arknights as a whole. I wanted to do something special for this unit therefore.
So I took the things I learnt from the Reed theme and integrated it into this project, but there was just so much more to it. Over the time it took me to setup the project to finalizing it, I learnt so much more about producing metal. In that sense, it is kind of a pity this project, which I dedicated to my favourite operator, is just a stepping stone to improvement.
Close to 170 hours were spent on this project. I am really slow working on projects and having to learn things from scratch made that even worse. What makes it worse is my tendency to make huge, elaborate projects as is shown by the length of this song as well as how much stuff I put into these 8 minutes. However, it was fun. But also daunting.
I am really grateful to Jurie for being able to fill in my needs for a vocalist. She honestly did an amazing job and I am looking forward to collaborate with her more often! Thank you so much for sticking up with my sometimes very taxing ideas!
Naturally, this track comes with lyrics. I do want to integrate lyrics more often in my tracks, but frankly I do not see myself as a songwriter in the slightest. I tried to focus on what is known about Texas, but I may actually have completely missed the point.
Nevertheless, I really have tried my hardest to get something finished and I hope that you will enjoy my efforts!

As for a very honest opinion on that matter, HG et. al already do an amazing job providing awesome music for us Doctors to enjoy, which basically makes these kinds of channels redundant. It's more interesting looking for gameplay videos and fanart than it is listening to fanmade music. Not that it takes away the enjoyment I get creating music, though!

As for instrumentals, I'd have to check to what extent it's possible since I think this project uses some plugins I don't use anymore.
