Hi, great video! I was thinking of doing this with my friends. Could you tell me what trails you took and where you started and stopped? I have never done anything like this and would love if you could help. Thanks

Thanks Joey! We started at the Hunting Hollow entrance and took the Steer Ridge trail. We then took a series of connecting trails to reach Coit Lake (Steer Ridge -> Wilson Peak -> Grizzly Gulch -> Dexter -> Wasno Road -> Kelly Lake). I think it was about 9 miles that day. The 2nd day we did a day hike to Pacheco Falls and then came back to our campsite at Coit lake. Kelly Lake is also really nice to camp at, but there weren't many camp sites left by the time we got there. Hope you and your friends have fun!

Great video! Some friends and I camped at China Hole Camp last April. I was thinking about doing the same route this year, but after watching your video I think I’d like to check out the route you two did. The lake and waterfall swimming hole looked pretty sweet! The ticks were pretty thick when I went, did you see many?

YeaItsMiles we didn't have any ticks on this particular trip, but we went on a day hike after some rain on another trip and one latched onto me pretty good. I definitely recommend this backpacking trip though! There was a lot of poison oak around Pacheco falls but we were able to get to the swimming hole without touching any :)

illiteratespoon awesome, thanks for getting back to me. Yeah, my trip was pretty wet and rainy, so that may have had something to do with the number of ticks.

Great video guys. Were there a lot of mosquitos? What do you recommend that you didn't take?

Thanks Richard! Hmm, not sure if there was anything in particular I'd recommend. It was a pretty easy trip overall. We didn't have any problems with mosquitos :)
