Did that in '94 at Great Lakes. -80 with the windchill. Lots of fatalities in the surrounding areas. We were confined to our barracks for a week with snow drifts up to the 2nd floor windows. Our heating system/boiler blew and the interior brick walls were iced over in our rooms. Fun times! Stay safe.
Just so people understand. A blizzard is normally the heart of the snow storm. It's high winds and blowing snow. Wich leaves drifts wherever it wants. I live in Central MN. We were -30 to -40 during this storm. Dropped 14 inches of snow. The after math were high winds making it blizzard conditions. For two days and extremely cold. This week we are warming up to the mid 30'. Hoodie weather.
On Wednesday evening in central MN I got 🏡 & fed all the animals on the farm. After 8" of fresh snow with a temp of 2* I warmed my car up which still had some issues from the damp, cold 🥶 a week earlier. I then through a tarp over the whole car. I shoveled snow on top & over everything I could. Then I made drifts around all 4 sides & the car was just an igloo. By Friday I'm glad I did with brutal windchills no travel recommended. Monday morning it was still 🥶 but I unshoveled it. That afternoon the rear windows finally worked & the temp started to climb since then. Still had to put air in the front tires & if u didn't have a compressor & hose inside u were screwed. In weather like this the phrase " don't take anything for granted " is very true. Whenever this kind of stuff happens I just think about how beautiful it is on my mother's B-day on June 4th with all the new borns showing up. There's always something to look forward to but if u take too many chances you'll never live to see them.

I wonder how many of the truck's fuel gelled up?
Tried to go to work this morning before the level 3's were called, couldn't even make it out of the nearest town as I couldn't see the wipers.
Glad l live in Galveston Texas... Wind blowing hard and 30 degrees.. But WAY better than that!!!!
And they say that the earth is warming and they also used to say that there will be no more snow
Come to IL. It’s gonna be -50 tomorrow ✌🏻
Fun times! Stay safe.
OMG!!! 😬
I was in Great Lakes in '94 as well, went home to Florida for a week and thawed out
Epic drifts, love it.
Look on the bright side; they’ll all have a white Christmas 🎄
Thats insane !!
I'm in SD we're nit getting any of this! 😆
Today is a sunny day 64 ° 🌞.
STAY HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Better then than me! Can’t imagine what those heating bills will be like.
I knew this was coming ! volcanos ,ash blocking the sun !
🤔🤔😵💫😵💫🤣🤣🤣🤣
Few decades ago, I was driving a 4x4 on a snowy country road in the tracks of a truck. Suddenly, where's the road, where's the field? I turned back.
Oh tht looks so dangerous. How did all those cars get abandoned?
Because the no driving morons went in the ditch and no intelligent tow truck driver was going out in that mess to rescue their no driving stupidity!
Alien abductions. Haven't you ever watched the X-Files? 👽
They were raptured
Why not skirts against fences to reduce to winds pushing snow..its required here by October
