    Hi there. I have used similar products to these for years here in the USA. Part of the reason I have always contained my Cat's on my own Property is because I understand that other people have Garden's or Bird Feeder's etc., and I wholly respect that. So it seems to me it would behoove you to be supportive of Companies there in the UK who Market their product to Cat Owners to Keep their Cat's safe on their Property. It is a good thing and some thing done by responsible Cat Parents. It does not look at all bad on the yard and there are many ways to do it depending on existing Fence, or no Fence. So I hope that it is a Win Win for all in this instance...Those who prefer Kitty's away from their Property, Kitty Parents, Fence Co., and of Course..Safe Kitty's.
    Very Best Wishes from Raleigh NC

      Hi Shelly, I'm in Chicago with two indoor/outdoor rescue cats who are always trying to hop the fence. I'm looking for some sort of a fool-proof way to contain them. Can you tell me what kind of metal arches you found to make this top of the fence contraption? What store would I find them in? Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated. Thanks!

      @@Xoletta hi I have seen videos easy Diy of keeping cats in the backyard. All it takes is say 1inch pvc pipe and 3inch pvc pipe, thread the wire inside both and fasten them to the top of the fence. There are plenty of diy videos on here. Basically when a cat comes in contact with this system it just spins and they can't get past them. Or you can just buy some like the oscillate cat protection system if your in America but I think diy would be best from home depot? Sorry I'm from Australia lol good luck.
      One video is called roll bar fence diy. Keep your pets in the yard

      @@aidanpapa6565yes, I'm in America. Our big chain 'DIY' store is called 'Home Depot.' Thanks so much for the tips! I was more interested in the system shown in the video, though, after reading a few comments from cat-owners who've said their cats received serious injuries when they unexpectedly hit the spinning bar and fell down in a way that caused severe injury and broken bones.

    This is absolutely genius. I have two semi feral cats that I have been feeding for 7 years. I can pet one and maybe steal a quick feel on the other.haha, However, i will be moving in about 30 days and I have been extremely stressed as to what I am going to do with them when we move. They have always been outside cats and no NOTHING else.as of right now, in winter, they stay in their cat houses with heating cat beds, but this containment contraption is exactly what i have been searching for. The first thing we will do when we move is install a a 6 ft fence around the backyard, and we wanted something to kepp the cats in(as we will be living next to a fairly busy road and fear that the first thing they will do after the acepromazine wears off, is runaway. I know with 100% certainty that they are going to freak out when they awake from their( drugged to transport ) slumbers, my question is,#1 how much does something like this cost? We willl have about( Quantity 20) 6ft high 8ft lenghth panels. #2 have you seen a cat ever get over this, and if they do try and go for it, Will it rip the entire section down or is there a chance that they will become entangled(like a net)? Please , if you could give me that information, I would sincerely appreciate it., as I am officially a nervous wreck with worry about this situation. thank you for your time.

      Nope only stops cats leaving, the fence is angled towards where the cat will be approaching from, since this is angled into the garden it will only stop cats inside from leaving. If u wanna stop strays gettin in u need to put it on so it’s leaning outwards cos cats can’t climb fences tht are angled towards them

    Looks really good…I had to keep rewinding on the gate part..I cld not make anything out of that part…it was brushed over in a few seconds and literally..I cld not see anything below what he was doing
    The gate is my main concern..I wanted to see it open from the outside..someone enter w/o getting their head entangled in the mesh..to see if when the stranger (such as a mail person entered & exited, wld a person with little concern for details leave a spot now unset to where the cat cld escape..I wanted to see a clear angle from the bottom of the gate to above in a lot slower Fashion…as he put it all together at the gate. This is the main concern (the gate area) above all else..an I bet I’m not the only one

    Won't this technique also potentially trap things inside once they get in? You want to keep things out as much as your cats in so if another cat or whatever comes in over the fence, it won't be able to get out and that can be an issue for your cats as well.

      @ドリアンDorian 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He is right. I love cats, but not everyone likes them, and it's their property. And letting your cat roam is BAD for the cats, they can cause car accidents, fight with other cats, and get disease from the streets. A true cat owner would not be upset seeing his comment, cats need to be inside the house, not going to the streets.
      It is a myth that the cats need to roam etc, you can ask any veterinarian, they do this just because they are always looking for something fun, if you do not have toys or a good environment to stay besides the food times, they will be getting out.

    It's that 1% I'm worried about!! I'll keep mine indoors where they are safe! I have frames at the windows to stop them getting out the windows and I have Airlocks to the doors, shutting one door before opening the outer! They have the run of the house which is a 3 bedroom house. I wouldn't trust netting to stop the cats getting free, a neighbour might damage it and not say anything and cat gets out, a cat on the other side that had feline leukaemia might get in, a fox might get by jumping from the other side which I seen them doing in my garden on a 6ft fence, a tree branch might damage it allowing the cat out. To be safe, you would need to inspect it every day before letting the cats out!
