Price at time of publication for a 2 night stay on a Thursday and Friday night in January 2024. Prices will of course fluctuate throughout the year based on demand, with January always being a cheaper time to travel (hence the brilliant price) but regardless I think this is a lovely place to stay in London and is comparable to much more expensive offers in the city, particularly in such a good location for tourists who wish to visit London to be close to all the "sights". The Conrad by Hilton is the closest hotel to The Hub and is currently showing rates of £526 for a 2 night stay in April 25th/26th, compared to £161 for a 2 night stay in the Hub on the same dates in exactly the same location by minutes.
I have stayed there and the ones at St James and Kings Cross, also the one in Edinburgh, totally agree with you they are fantastic and for the money brilliant, would always be my go to hotels. Room are small but perfect.
Stayed a couple of times in the St James one over the years. Enjoy the stay both times. Found it to be best comprise between comfort/quality and price for central London
Thanks Andie, that’s made my day. No, it was just the booking reference. I had to edit it strangely as my card details were showing on the screen so it probably looks more complicated than it was, the staff were really helpful too x
that's the way! That's what I do too! Load up at breakfast time and then I don;t have to think about food all day and can get on doing the exciting stuff!
Can't believe the price for 2 nights for that quality and in that location. £7 for a buffet breakfast is also excellent value for money. You have found a little gem there!
These Premier Inn Hubs look great, but I wish they would open a few more in other cities. I live in Reading so I don't have a need to stay in the many London ones
It would be through the premier in Website, put in your preferred dates and click "advanced rate" the cheapest rates are usually none refundable though x
I always travel alone, the 1st time i did it i was badly let down and thought i could not possible go on holiday (to Florence) on my own, but i did and loved it and now do not even think about going with anyone else, love the fact that you can do what you want if you want.
@@isobelwilson5440 nice one! The thing was for me, I was always worried others were going to pull out and I was always the one organising the trips! So I just started travelling by myself and loved it. It means you can get talking to others easier I find.
Nice. Do room windows open? Are there stairs to go to your downstairs room - or only the lift? I checked rates. Alas much more expensive now - around £200 per night for a single. They offer a lower pre-paid rate refundable with 28 days notice. I wonder just how hard it is to get the £ refunded.
I can't remember if the windows opened you know, it was quite a while ago and I wouldn't want to guess and give you false info. There were stairs as well as a lift though - I remember that because I always take the stairs when I can because I hate the thought of being stuck in a lift! haha I have had to cancel pre-paid with premier inn before and the money has always come back pretty quickly. Shame it's gone up .. I must have gotten very lucky!
@@throughlucyslens You were there in January I believe. It's somewhat cheaper then but a good deal more than you paid. Still it's not a bad option. The room was fresh looking and you say clean. I'm going to keep it in mind. Maybe someone else who has stayed there can tell me if windows open.
Hiya, yes it was a double. Usual premier inn size double bed and you will be fine with two of you. Maybe just store any big luggage in their free lockers
September is still "high season" so possibly more expensive. I visited in January when rates are always much lower because there are less visitors to London.
I believe the entrance was flat from the pavement and then there was a lift inside plus a smaller roll in / out lift to take you down the shorter flights of stairs. If you pop it on Google maps you will be able to see the entrance - make sure my memory is correct, it was a while ago now.
Hold on! When I look at a rate to stay in this hotel in a couple of months time (April) I am being quoted 150 pounds a night for basic room - and it moves upward from there. How on earth do you get it for 62 pounds? A budget hotel for 62 pounds is one thing, 150 pounds is something quite different. You said that it is a good place and convenient, and that is fine, but if it costs more than twice as much as told on the video, all the assertions of good value etc are out of the window. It is no longer "brilliant" ... sadly you have not found "a little gem", but you may have been lucky on one Friday in January. Caveat emptor!
going anywhere in January as opposed to April or any other months from spring to autumn is going to have different rates - try looking at other hotels in London in April and see the difference then decide if it is value for money.
Buyer beware indeed but in this vlog I was just expressing my experience on a Thursday & Friday night in January 2024. On that day at that time it was indeed a bargain, if you check other places for that date in April you may see it is still good value when a comparable place in Westminster is £300 a night. I’m sorry I got over excited and thought I was helping people. If you search for “top secret hotels” on last minute you may find some good deals in April on a 3* or 4* properties in the capital. Bonne chance.
@@throughlucyslens You've nothing to apologise for - this is a great opportunity for someone like me who has never seen inside a hub room - and it's helped me to count them IN! Thanks - a top job for an insider view Lucy.

Seems amazing for the price
I was going to book one of the premier hubs for January but they only have double beds and I needed twin beds.
Great vid... covered all the things i would have asked❤
Glad it was helpful! It’s a smashing little hotel and the bed was so comfortable.
❤

Amazing to know the others are just as good. I really want to visit Edinburgh so would 100% book the one there too!
I would stay there for sure. Nice video.
Thank you
Thank you so much for this information as I am going to London next year and didn’t know about this hotel!
It's a decent little find - I've stayed in some horrible hotels in London and am always a bit worried so this was a great spot!
Stayed a couple of times in the St James one over the years. Enjoy the stay both times. Found it to be best comprise between comfort/quality and price for central London
I think so, a comfy bed and clean is all I need and I think these are perfect :)
Excellent stuff Lucy.
Thank you kindly! 🥹
Good to know for next time I’m in the UK
Great little hotels across that whole brand, there are plenty all over the country :)
Hi Lucy, love your video. May I ask, was the self check-in process complicated? I thought they just asked for your booking reference. Thanks.
Thanks Andie, that’s made my day. No, it was just the booking reference. I had to edit it strangely as my card details were showing on the screen so it probably looks more complicated than it was, the staff were really helpful too x
That's my kind of hotel. Everything I would need. I usually get a big breakfast, then don't eat until dinner time, too.

Thank you! I thought it was great! Appreciate your comment very much ❤️
The endcard elements obstructed the full text at the end... but I'll give their site a look-see... it seems just my style!
Sorry about that, I’m pretty new to this, I’ll sort it out and pop the details in the comments x
Hi Erica - I’ve sorted that now. Really appreciate you highlighting it, appreciated!
@@throughlucyslens Perfect! Thanks for introducing us to this gem of a place!

Yeah I agree! They are a great concept, I believe they have them in Edinburgh too but that really is miles away!
Looks very nice. Was there a minibar or fridge?
No, but the bar downstairs is open. You might be able to ask for them to store something for you?
Hi.,
Could you guide me on how to book a room in advance...?
It would be through the premier in Website, put in your preferred dates and click "advanced rate" the cheapest rates are usually none refundable though x
@throughlucyslens Thanks bro., As you suggested am done my booking & it was economy as well.
Nice room, yummy food. Nice hotel
Thank you ❤️
Excellent video 😊
Thank you very much! Means a lot ❤️
Just read your bio. I always travel alone and love it too.
It’s the best isn’t it! No one to worry about but yourself and you can really take it all in!

The breakfast is so good for GDP 7.00, can I have if I am not a guest?
I’m not sure actually! You can pay on the day so maybe try - and let me know if you can because that’s very important info! 😅
@@throughlucyslens , If I have the chance , I may find out.
Is this hotel by the Heathrow Express or Victoria line train stops?
If you arrived earlier than check-in time, is there somewhere you can leave your luggage?
Yes. They would take your luggage for you. I left my big bag so I could go about without it.
I love Premier Inn.
Me too, always dependable and lovely staff. X
Was your room a Double? I ask because I have one booked and don't know how comfortable it will be for two

Very welcome! Enjoy your stay in London!
Can I decide to have breakfast or not after u check in?
Hiya, yes you can, I only paid for breakfast on the one days.
What’s the room type ?
This was a standard double room.
I was looking for this hotel, few minutes ago but the rates for the month of 4th week September is 125pounds per night.

You can get double the size room for about £120 a night, which is much better deal.
Where? Always happy to be educated.
