Every song with Pentatonix is my favorite the first time I hear it. This year, my favorite is "Oh come All Ye Faithful." It is PURE joy. It's impossible to listen to it without moving....and like everything they do, it's over too soon.
What struck me was the very complex passages countered with the very simple bits. The framing of a blond female head by the cave entrance was obvious imagery!

I finally caught up with your review of this wonderful song, and I completely agree with you. Mitch, of course, is always great. But what is seldom commented on is how wonderful the Avi and Scott duets are. It really would be great for them to release a song with just the two of them. Another song where they had a duet break was during Say Something, with Kirsten taking the lead. Avi has just (April 9, 2021) released a new solo song called Song fo the Thankful. It is beautiful, and worth hearing and reacting to.

Adam, I think you and I both agree that there simply are not enough superlatives to describe PTX. I have been a fan for many years and off to see them live in Manchester in June (covid allowing). I came across your channel when watching Adam Lambert's rendition of Cher's Believe. I have been a massive fan of AL since day dot. Your reactions are priceless. I am sure you have come across many a great singer in your profession and it blows me away watching your reactions because the way you react is the way I and other fans react. Mary Did You Know is my favourite. Listening to it, like you do, with headphones on you can hear every breath, every gasp, every subtle note, the way they all blend in just makes me melt (and sometimes cry). Just beautiful. I don't tend to recommend songs by Pentatonix to anyone. There are three, however, that I will mention "Sing" (upbeat), "Can't Hold Us" (clever), and "New Rules/Are you that Somebody" (First 5 seconds are magic).
I'm really enjoying your reactions. You beautifully straddle the line between someone knowledgeable about music and someone appreciating it. Too many PTX reaction videos are one or the other, and it's wonderful to see someone who can do both. Subscribed!
