We watch your video’s every Saturday morning, my wife just retired (63) and I (66) will join her January of next year. We are planning on coming to Portugal early next year for a visit. Madeira is on our list of places to visit. We live in SLC UT. and look forward to seeing the beauty of the island.
Ola Jeff, We are so glad you support our channel each week. Thanks you. We hope your own journey turns out to be everything you dream of. Have a wonderful day!
Hi Allan. Beautiful scenery as usual. And also: 1- the siesta thing is not much of a thing in Madeira but apparently it is in Spain. 2- Bureaucracy, yes you tell me about it. It is way better than before with many things that can be done online. But still a long way to go. 3- Lipets for you, mussels for some and lapas for the locals.
I've lived in several countries and culture shock is just life telling you you're alive. Live it. Feel it. Hug it. Welcome it. Seek it out. It's the spice of life. Thank you for the wonderful videos. 🤗
Today's question. Would it be possible for you to add an overview map of Madeira at the beginning of your videos? It doesn't have to appear for long, a few seconds, but it should show where you are heading/ visiting. Thanks.
Hi people, it has been a while since I saw your channel. Say, my sister and brother-in-law are visiting mainland Portugal and will be also visiting Madeira. They love it there! Again, I love your style and may your family be happy and well. Peace to you.
Beautiful walk and even more fun with friends! I think I can adjust to the pace. I've always found it a little difficult adjusting to the fast pace of the U.S. Thank you for another great adventure and advice.
Olá Chris, It's more fun with friends to share this beautiful island. Thanks for the continued support of our channel. Obrigado Chris Alan, Leslie and Wolf
Hi Alan, Leslie, Wolf, and the star of the video, Greer! We really enjoyed this video and the beautiful walk. Great tips in this one, particularly about being patient when dealing with the bureaucracy. We also agree with your tips about adapting to your new country and not expect the people here to adapt to you. Embrace the lifestyle and culture. Make new friends! Cheers.
Thanks for your continued support of our channel, John. It is very important to adjust and assimilate into your new country. And remember, you are fitting into a new culture and country, not the other way around. Embrace the change, and enjoy your life. Thanks again. Alan, Leslie and Wolf And Greer, too
The one thing I heard some people have trouble with is Portuguese spontaneity and lack of "planning". Americans tend to plan and schedule everything. In expat groups people seem to be annoyed with that. But then I'm thinking isn't that one of the reasons why you moved to Portugal to slow down.
