Disney owns ABC, which means Grey's Anatomy falls under the Disney banner. They must have decided that leading a show for nearly two decades deserved recognition.

2. Grey's Anatomy is owned by ABC which is owned by Disney
3. She inspired loads of new Medical Professionals to enter the field
