  • Made before the Independent Planning Commission (IPC) hearing on the Dendrobium Mine expansion, this video explains the mining technique that South32 and Peabody currently use under our water catchment.
    In February 2020, the IPC rejected South32's 25 year mine expansion proposal. They said that it wasn't in the public interest - we agree!
    There is still longwall mining happening today under our water catchment, and you can be involved in protecting our water for us and future generations.

      In all regions and for all siting limits, retiring coal plants are replaced with a mix of wind and solar power

    It appears this guy has either a poor understanding or a slanted view of longwall coal mining.

      He is very misguided as long wall mining keeps support structures in the tunnel to stop collapsing probably find this guy is funded by Greenpeace or part of extinction rebelion
